FacilitiesLSC-EMI is located at LSC-University Park in the new 70,000 square-foot building. LSC-EMI also operates satellite sections at all Lone Star College campuses. The facility houses 28 labs, five classrooms, and two simulation rooms – designed to serve a larger student population and meet the growing training needs of its industrial partners.

A Dynamic Learning CenterEducation and training at LSC-EMI is offered in Foundation Courses, HSE, Machining, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Maintenance, Energy Technology, Quality, Computer Technology, Logistics, Welding, Language Skills, English Language (ESOL) for the Workplace, Project Management, Frontline Supervision, and more.

Lone Star College-Energy & Manufacturing Institute

The Lone Star College-Energy & Manufacturing Institute (EMI) is a hub for businesses with employees currently working or seeking a career in the oil and gas, or mechanized (automated) production industries – and it is expanding!

The EMI was developed by LSC and Lone Star Corporate College in response to the national, state and local talent gap in the oil and gas, and manufacturing and mechanized (automated) production industries. Customized training has been ongoing since the institute was formed in 2011.
