Soldier/Veteran Deer Hunt in Jackson, SC Presented by SCDNR/SCNG/Jarrett Rifles The South Carolina National Guard and South Carolina Department of Natural Resources have teamed up with the Jarrett Rifles Company to host two deer hunts in December. These events will be held in Jackson/Aiken County, South Carolina. We are looking for 5 soldiers or veterans for the December 3 rd event and 10 soldiers or veterans for the December 17 th event. If there are more names submitted than slots allowed, a drawing will be held to select participants. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, November 30th, 2010. Time Line-Scheduled Activities : Arrival- 9 a.m. (December 3 rd & 17 th ) Tour of Jarrett Rifles- 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Lunch -Pig Picking on open grill Skeet Shooting Tournament- 1 p.m. Afternoon Deer Hunt- 2:30 p.m. until 30 minutes after sunset We would like to say a special thank you to Lynwood Kearse and Ben Thomas of the SCDNR who worked so tirelessly to make this possible. We would also like to thank all the volunteers, plantation owners, local businesses, and many others who came together for the South Carolina National Guard soldiers and veterans. These guys went above and beyond to organize this special event for us and there are no words to express how appreciative we are for all their hard work.
