Our galaxy is called the Milky Way, because it looks like a way of milky white light across the sky.
It’s a burning ball of fire. It’s a star.It is very big and life on Earth depends on it.
It provides light and heat.

It’s the closest planet to the sun. It’s a ball of iron and it has no moon.
Its spin around the sun lasts 88 days (3 months).
MERCURY
It’s the same size as the Earth but it spins in the other way. It has no water or moon. Its spin around the sun lasts 225 days (7 months and a half)
VENUS
It’s the brightest planet in the Solar System.
It’s called “The Morning Star and the Evening Star” since you can see it during day and night.
It’s the place where we all live. There is land and lots of seas (water), so it looks blue.
It’s called the blue planet. It has got 1 moon.Its spin around the sun lasts 365 days (1 year).
EARTH
It’s a rocky red planet. It’s called the red planet.It has got mountains, deserts, volcanos,…Its mountains are the highest in the solar system. It has got two moons. Its spin around the sun lasts 687 days (almost 2 years).
MARS
It’s a gas giant. It’s the biggest planet and it spins the fastest. It has got 63 moons. It’s got the biggest moon. It has got thin rings.Its spin around the sun lasts almost 12 years.

SATURN
