In this paper we have proposed a modelwhich acts as a weather station and a raindetector and is solely solar powered. Themodel is designed in such a way that it canbe used remotely and the readings aredisplayed on a user friendly LCD displayand are displayed as digital numericvalues. The weather station includes aremote station for monitoring the weatherpowered by a solar panel, and a basestation to display data. The remote stationincludes sensors to measure temperature, relative humidity, rain and solar radiationlevel. The goal in system design isoptimizing cost and power.
