Welcome to our 2016 newsletter.
I wanted to provide an “end of year” update in an email but
several of you have asked me to provide a regular publication.
Here it is!
Top news is that we are rated #1 by SolarReviews.com in
Texas. I’m more proud of this than anything we have accom-
plished because those ratings were written by you—our custom-
ers.
Notably, we are now rated # 6 nationally based on your reviews.
The list moves around a bit, but know that we intend to stay at
the top.
We have retained our “Pre-Screened Solar Pro” status. We
know this is proof-positive of our long-standing credibility. To
you, it means that we are financially stable and have passed a
check with ContractorCheck.com. Read here to see how we
retained this important rating.
If you have not already left a review, please consider leaving
one at SolarReviews.com. Everyone who leaves a review by
Christmas will be entered in our drawing for a free eGauge
system to be installed in January. Those that also post a Face-
book testimonial of their lowest bill will get another entry. Let
us hear about those single and double-digit bills!

Customer Service Improvements—our commitment to you
We have grown—a lot! A growing number of customers means we needed to grow our capacity
to provide you support after the sale. I don’t think we did as well as we should have, each time.
Previously, yours sales representative was nearly always the “entry point” for post-sales service.
Of course your rep is always available to you, but when you have tech-
nical issues, please contact our Director of Customer Support, Chris
Wahlgren. She can be reached at [email protected] or
at 254-393-1340. Chris will take your information and provide you a
scheduled time for our technicians to be onsite for troubleshooting.
Sometimes, we can address challenges “over the air” via internet.
Here is my Texas-leading customer service guarantee to you for 2017
1) We’ll return all customer service calls within 18 hours (if we miss
your call for any reason in the first place)
2) We’ll have a tech at your system within 2 days OR
3) We’ll reimburse you for any lost solar production PLUS 50%.
You’ve made an investment in solar—we’re making a commitment to you.

The #1 question I am asked is,
“what retail electric provider
should I choose?
To this date, the answer used
to be, “TXU.”
But TXU policy changes mean
we cannot recommend using
them. They penalize customers
who don’t install a solar module
that is recommended by them.
It’s a business relationship for
them but to you, it’s a bad deal.
Especially when other REPs
have better plans that maxim-
ize the value of your solar in-
vestment. We recommend ei-
ther Green Mountain Energy or
MP2 Energy.
Here are the highlights:
Green Mountain Energy is our
top choice and is offered every-
where we install solar (MP2 is
Oncor only). This plan provides
FULL credit for excess energy
you send back to the grid and
this includes not just your ener-
gy charge but your TDU charge.
It’s as close to true “net-
metering” that you can get out-
side of an electric cooperative.
It is especially good where solar
makes the majority of your
energy use—i.e, those with
large systems
Right now, the “all-in” price is
11.6 cents with a 24-month
lock-in. Hard to find 24-month
plans.
MP2 is our choice for their in-
novative “net billing.” This com-
pany recognizes the value ex-
cess solar brings to the
grid...and they pay for it at real-
time pricing. If you typically
make excess energy only at
midday and your overall energy
use is a mostly even mix of
solar and grid power, then con-
sider this to maximize credit at
midday—when grid real-time
pricing can now reach up $9
per kwh at the most severe
times. Lots of variability, but if
you’re getting a modest solar
credit because you use most of
your solar at the time of pro-
duction (always the very best
value) then consider this.

you over $400,000 with these
programs.
If you have a friend that signs
on with Solar CenTex before
Christmas, we’ll lock in today’s
incentive level for the 2017
program.

tive goes (Oncor maxes out

We have learned that often,
those that need help with their
electric bill are the ones least
able to afford it.
By providing solar for low in-
come Veterans, we can help
those on fixed income keep
energy inflation from eroding
their finances.
We’ll announce the recipients
this Spring, 2017.
As always, you can watch our
progress at our Facebook page.
If there is interest and external
support from the community

pand this program.
Great companies are good for
the company, the employees,
and the community.
Starting in 2017, Solar CenTex
has committed to providing two
solar arrays to needy, elderly
Veterans.
We’ll do this twice per year and
will work with the Association of
the United State Army (AUSA)
for our Central Texas customers

The New Year means that our 2016 customers can get their 30%
Federal tax credit!
You’ve heard me say it, “there is no better way to pay your taxes
than a solar array on your roof, barn, or property.”
Many have called us asking how to do this.
I’m happy to say this is one of the easiest tax forms that is out
there.
IRS Form 5695 linked here has the form and the instructions.
Don’t forget that the sales tax is part of the qualified cost, too!
Call us if you need another copy of your paid in full invoice.
Anybody who brings a friend
who signs up for a free site

same $500 bonus referral that
I discussed on the previous
page.
