International students not only have access to a range of scholarships and housing facilities, but can also be provided in Japanese study programs and other unique programs taught in English. Top Global University Project by MEXT Soka University was selected as a partner-institution in global human resources development initiative in 2012 and also selected as a Top Global University initiative in 2014 to enhance the international competitiveness of Japanese universities and facilitate system reforms by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, Sports and Technology (MEXT). International Exchanges Soka University has been active in promoting international exchange with universities and educational institutions around the world. We have concluded academic exchange agreements with 187 universities from 58 countries and regions as of May 2017. Currently, over 550 international students from 58 countries and regions are enrolled at the university.
