”The current situation is that most of the bigger existing term banks use purpose-built software, although there are cases where general purpose information retrieval software is used. Although computerized term banks have been in existence for a number of years, there seems to be little agreement as to how they should operate, and if the present situation persists, their use will continue to be low.
