•  Learn to learn from mistakes and take corrective action.

•  Be a team player. Everyone is essential for success. –  Not “I” or “You” or “Them”…it is “US”

•  Be accountable for your own satisfaction. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

•  Do more than hear…listen. Be a good listener.

•  Analyze and Synthesize (Step back).

•  Articulate your thoughts using apt words that “fit-the-context”.

•  Respond (not react) by simplifying the interchange. –  Attune yourself to the mental climate of the other

and minimize cross-purpose talk.

•  Goal is to build a Pleasing Personality. –  Be Reliable when making commitments. – Maintain Consistency in approach. –  Understand difference between confidence

(healthy pride) and ego (negative pride). –  Preserve dignity of another person. –  Always be Open, it is a two-way street.

•  When a mistake is made, accept it immediately and willingly. Don’t pass the buck!

•  When other person realizes and admits the mistake, make way out to save his/her face. –  Preserve self-esteem.

•  When you don’t have anything good to say about a person, keep silence…avoid gossip.

•  Create a list identifying the areas to be worked/improved upon.

•  Work on cultivating-In pleasant habits and removing-Out the unpleasant ones.

•  Practice this on daily basis, in day-to-day interactions with Co-workers, Subordinates and Peers.

•  Spectator-Actor-Manager Approach –  You are the Spectator

•  Emotional Hijacking –  In this state, our rational mind is controlled by

impulsive mind, and quick, angry and unreasonable behavior results.

•  Drying Enthusiasm. –  Giving up or discouragement due to not seeing

results according to expectations is a common thing, however we must keep ourselves motivated.

When the road ahead becomes bumpy, Don’t you ever become grumpy.

•  Doubting Thomas –  Results from lack of faith. –  Have faith that you will win and you shall

eventually. –  Let not doubt usurp the place of Faith

•  Rising Frustration. –  In this state, regulating one’s mood becomes

difficult and this swamps the ability to think. –  Way out is to empathize and hope…even hope

beyond hope!

•  Be patient with yourself and keep going, allow time for skills to develop.

•  The more you practice, the better you get.

•  Observe and do it consciously.

•  Once you see where the holes are, go out and put the missing pieces in place.
