• Who: Sodexo, Olivet students, Olivet staff.

• What: Cooking competition between two student

teams.

• Where: Ludwig Dining Hall- Nash Banquet Room

• When: November 14, 2012. 5 PM (dinner hours)

• Why: To build client and student satisfaction as

well as give ONU students a fun time.

• Each team was allowed to choose their own ingredients.

• Cooking time was 90 minutes.

• All the ingredients were ordered specifically for the event.

• The Ahi tuna was a special order and had to be shipped overnight.

PEOPLE INVOLVED

• Over 200 students watched the competition.

• Interns- Kelsey Dixon, Wes Taylor, Geoff Fuller

• GM- Jeff Hilligoss, Retail Manager- Julio Silva, and

Marketing Coordinator- David Picone.

• Five student chefs- Ben Cherney, Joy Matthews,

Allison Wiseman, Aimee Gauss, and Levi Himes.

• Began planning in September.

• Eight team captains signed up.

• Four hours of set-up in the dining hall.

TEAM 1 MENU

• Appetizer: Pumpkin and shrimp bruschetta with arugula salad.

• Entrée: Pumpkin gnocchi in parmesan cream sauce with pan-seared chicken.

• Dessert: Pumpkin mousse in white chocolate cups.

• Appetizer: Spam musubi with a pumpkin dipping sauce.

• Entrée: Sautéed Ahi with mango salsa.

• Dessert: Pumpkin cheesecake stuffed strawberries.

THE WINNER

• The winning team was Team 1.

FEEDBACK

• The participants enjoyed being part of the

competition.

• Judges gave high scores to all the dishes prepared.

• Audience participation and support was high.
