Dependant upon employer and level of work

Salaries can range from $26.50-$50.12 an hour

Career Path

Can advance depending on work experience and level of education you have received or you could go into a private practice.

Education Needed

You need grade 12 or equivalent to enter into post secondary education

Post Secondary Education

You need post secondary education to become a social worker. You need a bachelor of social work before continuing on into more specific areas which takes up to 4 years. but before that you need at least 54 univ. credits

Why it is a good choice for me

I feel like I would enjoy the line of work that these ppl do. I also have always had an interest in it and it is something that I want to do. I want to help people and I feel like this is a good way to do that.

Child Psychologist

Job Description

Deal specifically with the psychological, behaviour, social, and emotional needs of children.

Work Conditions

Can work in a variety of settings including schools, private practices and hospital.

Have to be patient and good with kids.

Salary

The approximate salary is $64,000 a year

Career Path

It depends on the level of education you receive and work experience you have.

Education Needed

Grade 12 or equivalent is needed to go into post secondary education

Post Secondary Education

-Masters degree in the field of child psych.-PhD., or Psy.D

I love psych. It is a very interesting subject to me and I would like to know more and actually put it to use.
