In Antique, this age group comprises 6.86 % of the totalpopulation of the province, and in Northern Samar, the
same age group comprises 4.20% of the totalpopulation of the province. In comparison to theircomposition, data shows that they have a proportionalrate.
In comparison with the Philippines as a whole, the ratein the town level is not significantly high as comparedto the national level, that is, in terms of the same agegroup.

Surprisingly: Maternal Mortality Rate
Based on the country progress on all indicators, the Philippines is in critical danger of notachieving the target on improving maternalhealth by 2015. While the maternal mortality rate
(MMR) had been declining over the past twodecades, from 209 per 100,000 live births in 1993to 172 in 1998 to 162 in 2006, the rate of changehas been relatively low. In addition, the decline
appears to have stalled making the targetreduction in MMR of 52 deaths per 100,000 livebirths by 2015 highly improbable.
