2. 2. Learning Objective 4th grade students will, in groups, create virtual informational texts on a chosen Science topic. They will also answer an extension question that asks them to form an opinion and support it with research.
3. 3. The Project They will use technology to research, collaborate, and create. Each group will create a wiki where they can brainstorm, discuss ideas, exchange resources and their work. Final presentation will utilize a presentation website like Prezi. Finally, groups will teach the class about their topics using their creations.
4. 4. Assessment Rubric The rubric will assess whether the appropriate and necessary elements were included in their project and presentation. It will also assess their use of technology (appropriateness and utilization) and their overall participation within the group.
5. 5. Responsible Use Plan My RUP would be an extension of the general class rules. Simple and easy to read. This would be posted near the computers and alongside the classroom rules

Responsible Use Plan Computer Policy Take Care of Yourself Use your time wisely, do your best work Do not use the computer for anything other than assigned activities Take Care of Each Other No bullying (Dont put down your friends, or their work) Respect each others work (Be careful when adding to, viewing, and editing each others work) Take Care of the Technology No eating or drinking near the computers If something is not working let an adult know, regardless of the cause
