will spend 4 nights in Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur before moving onto beautiful Sabah, which is located on the
island off Borneo.
ABOUT MALAYSIA
Malaysia is a federal constitutional monarchy in Southeast Asia. It consists of thirteen states and three federal
territories and has a total landmass of 329,847 square kilometres (127,350 sq mi) separated by the South China Sea
into two similarly sized regions, Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo. Land borders are shared with Thailand,
Indonesia, and Brunei, and maritime borders exist with Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The capital city is
Kuala Lumpur, while Putrajaya is the seat of the federal government. In 2010 the population was 28.33 million, with
22.6 million living on the Peninsula.
CITY OF SABAH
Sabah is one of the 13 member states of Malaysia, and is its easternmost state. It is located on the northern portion of
the island of Borneo. It is the second largest state in the country after Sarawak, which it borders on its southwest. It
also shares a border with the province of East Kalimantan of Indonesia in the south. The capital of Sabah is Kota
Kinabalu, formerly known as Jesselton. Sabah is often referred to as "The Land Below The Wind"

Batu Caves
Batu Caves, is a limestone
hill, which has a series of
caves and cave temples, in
the Gombak district, 13
kilometres (8 mi) north of
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It
takes its name from the
Sungai Batu or Batu River,
which flows past the hill.
Batu Caves is also the name
of the nearby village. The
cave is one of the most
popular Hindu shrines
outside India, dedicated to
Lord Murugan.
The buildings are the landmark of Kuala Lumpur with
nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower.

Manukan Island
A 15-20 minute boat ride takes you to Manukan Island - an ideal getaway for
a short break from the city. This shade-fringed island offers modern chalet
accommodation, a restaurant, and a swimming pool. A white sandy beach
and fringing coral reefs teeming with marine life beckons the city-frazzled
nature lover to swim, snorkel, dive and just unwind. Put everything on hold...
Spend the day on the beach or trying-out one of the many sea-sports
available on the Island's Marina.
Mount Kinabalu
The Kinabalu Park - Malaysia's first World Heritage was designated by UNESCO
in December 2000 'for its universal values' and vital biological sites. Covering
an area of 754 sq km, the focal point of the Park is the majestic Mount
Kinabalu, standing at 4,095.2 meters, the highest mountain between Northern
Burma and New Guinea.
The Kinabalu Park also houses numerous unique plants such as the pitcher
plant, about 1000 orchid species and the largest flower in the world, Rafflesia.
More than 250 bird species have also been recorded in the Park, namely the
Mountain Bush Warbler, Kinabalu Friendsly Warbler, Palceface Bibul and the
Mountain Blackeyes. In a nutshell, the Kinabalu Park is one of the world's most
unique ecological systems with an altitude between 152 meters to 3,952
meters above sea level: having beauty, splendor and charm to delight any
category of visitors, from the tired businessman in need of a rest to nature
lovers.
White Water Rafting
This exciting adrenalin' rushing tour will take you down to a wave that goes as
high as six feet and thrilling rapids up to grade IV. Whilst rushing down this wild
and untamed part of the Padas River you will experience totally untouched
nature. The adrenaline rush excursion covers a distance of 9km of this rather
muddy 200 km river that holds 7 exciting and tough rapids!
The journey will first take 1-2 hours overland through the countryside to
Beaufort town. From thereupon, adventure begins with 1-2 hours train rides
tracks along the Padas River. Upon arrival, participants will be given a safety
briefing. Shoot through and experience the nerve tingling excitement which
crescendos rapid after rapid while getting a closer look at the Borneo's
amazing flora and fauna. After rafting, enjoy a sumptuous barbecue lunch by
the river along with a presentation of certification of achievement.
Lok Kawi Wildlife Park
The Lok Kawi Wildlife Park is managed by the Sabah Wildlife Department.
Occupying an area of 280 acres it is one of the largest wildlife parks in
Malaysia. It is home to a fascinating and varied collection of tropical animals
comprising mammals, birds and reptiles.
Implementing an open environment concept, this zoo provides for easy
viewing and unique opportunities for wildlife photography. A botanical
garden has been developed to highlight common plant species of the
rainforest as well as some of the more unusual species such as pitcher plants.
The Lok Kawi Wildlife Park offers a unique opportunity for close-up views of
some of the most elusive and endangered wildlife species in the world and to
appreciate the conservation efforts being carried out to preserve and
continue their survival.
