scenic foothills of the Smokey Mountains at 1,500 feet elevation in Tennessee

Michael J Louter is originally from The Netherlands (Holland) where he was a youth player of Vitesse ’22 Football Club in Castricum, Holland from age 8 to when he entered the Dutch professional

program as a senior player

Michael founded Soccer Camps at Vitesse in 2006 because he wanted to provide for his family, and for other families, similar opportunities that he had growing up with Vitesse ’22 FC

Vitesse Soccer | Operable Playing Principles

Operable playing principles are easy to follow actions in the time it needs to be done. At Vitesse,

each principle is systematically integrated till it becomes natural to the players’ behavior. Players are encouraged to learn at their own tempo. Each training starts or is concluded in reflection and

discussion in order to reinforce a deeper understanding, gain appreciation and recognize successes. In the club-house we have descriptions of the principles. Upon request, we will send them to you.

The eleven principles that we focus on are: Speed First, Demand for the Ball, Play Simple, Stance to Tackle, Strategize, Self-practice, Know Yourself, Attack in 3s, Be Clear, “Next Time…” and Be the

Backbone.

Total Soccer the Dutch Method

Total Soccer implies that all players can play in all positions, where defenders are expected to continuously be making penetrating runs and attackers to interchange positions for maintaining team

structure and flow of play

The Dutch Method is learning through playing. At all times, we must see a recognizable playing structure with players demanding for the ball and being goal scoring driven

In our training, we always include small-sided games and end with full-sided games. We reflect on the operable playing principles and simultaneously bring in the theme of the week. Each week, we have a

feature coach that is specialized in teaching the theme

Training Like a Professional | June 19-24, 2016 Casper Dekker (featured front row in the middle) is currently the Head Coach of the U17 at AZ in the Netherlands. AZ is a professional team that has won the National Title twice and participated in the

European competition for the last 8 years. The AZ Youth Program has been named as the best developmental program in Holland 3 times out of the last 5 years

Current US National Team player Jozy Altidore played with AZ. Casper Dekker won the Dutch Youth

National Title three times. Graduates of his program include established professional players such as Davey Claasen (Ajax), Gregory vander Wiel (PSG) & Adam Maher (PSV)
