Snow White

Once upon a time there lived a queen and a king. One winter day the queen hod a baby girl.

KING What a beautiful baby girl!

QUEEN Her nome wil l be Snow White.

Sadly, the queen was very ill and died the next day. The king married again. The new queen was beautiful, but she was not kind. She didn't like Snow White.

Snow White grew up. She become a beautiful girl. O~e day t~e queen asked t he magic mirror again.

QUEEN Mirror, mirror on the wall, Am I the fairest of all?

MIRROR Oh no, poor queen, no more. Show Wh ite is the fairest of all.

The new queen hod a magic mirror. She asked it every day.

QUEEN Mirror, mirror on the wall, Who is the fairest of all?

M IRROR You are fair, you are toll, you are the fairest of all.

The queen was very angry.

QUEEN Servant, toke Snow White out into the forest and kill her!

SERVANT Yes, Your Majesty.

The servant took Snow White out into the forest.

SERVANT Quickly! Run away, Snow White! I don't wont to kill you.

Snow White was very afraid. She ron and ron, for into the forest .

SNOW W HITE W hat sha ll I do? W ho will help me?

Suddenly, she opened her eyes.

SNOW WHITE W ho are you?

1ST D WARF We're dwarfs and we live here.

2ND DWARF There are seven of us.

3RD DWARF Wh o a re you?

SNOW WHITE My nome's Snow White . I ran from the horrible queen and I don't know where to go.

4TH DWARF Don't worry. You can stay here.

5TH D WARF We go to work every day.

6TH DWARF You can help us with the housework.

SNOW WHITE Oh, what a pretty li tt le house! Knock, knock! Hello! Is anybody home?

Snow White slowly opened the door and went in.

SNOW WHITE Oh, there are seven li ttle beds. I'm so tired. I' ll lie down for a minute.

She soon fell asleep.

Oh , thank you. I can cook and clean and make the beds. 11 m very happy. I am safe from the horrible queen.

One day in the castle the queen again asked the magic mirror.

QUEEN Mirro r, mirror on the wall, Am I t he fa irest of all?

M IRROR Oh no, poor queen, far in the forest, Snow White is the fairest of all.

The q ueen dressed up as a poor woman. She went to the little house.

Q UEEN Pretty combs, pretty combs! Do you want to buy a pretty comb?

SNOW WHITE Yes, a red comb, please.

But the comb had poison in it. Snow White put it in her hair a nd fell to the floor. The seven dwarfs came home from work.

7TH DWARF What happened? 1ST D WARF Look, a comb in her hair. 2ND DWARF Take it out!

Snow White quickly woke up. The next day in the castle the queen again asked the magic mirror.

QUEEN Mirror, mirror on the wall, Am I the fairest of all?

M IRROR O h no, poor queen, far in the forest, Snow White is the fairest of all.

The q ueen dressed up again as a poor woman and went to the little house.

QUEEN Apples! Apples! Lovely red, sweet apples! Buy my apples!

S NOW W HITE They are so lovely! I'll buy one.

Snow Wh ite ate the a pple and fell down .

QUEEN Ha ! Ha! Ha! You ate the poisonous apple! Now you a re dead. And I am the fairest of all !

The seven dwarfs came home from work.

3RD DWARF She's dead.

4TH DWARF But she's so beautiful.

5TH DWARF Let's put her in a glass box near the house.

6TH DWARF So, we can see her every day.

One day a handsome prince on a white horse came into the forest.

P RINCE What a beautiful young woman! What can I do to help her?

The prince opened the glass box. He put his hand under her head. Suddenly, the poisonous apple fell from her mouth. Snow Wh ite opened her eyes.

PRINCE She is not dead.

Everybody was happy.

The prince married Snow W hite. They had a big party in his castle. Everybody came to the party except the horrible queen. Snow White and the Prince lived happi ly ever after.
