SUMMARY

The version 1810 "Feature Update"

for "Windows 10" has a new app

called "Snip & Sketch".

The old "Snipping Tool" is still

available but it will soon disappear in

favor of the faster and more powerful

"Snip & Sketch" utility".

DEPRECATED "SNIPPING TOOL"

• The old "Snipping Tool" arrived in

January 2006 inside "Windows

Vista". If you start it up inside

"version 1810" of "Windows 10..",

you get the warning that the

"Snipping Tool" will be gone soon:

• "Snip & Sketch" is the new

screenshot utility that arrived with

version 1810 of "Windows 10.." on

November 13, 2018.

• It is faster and more automated

relative to the "Snipping Tool".

flavors:

"Toolbar on top of Desktop" mode

and

"UWP app window" mode

• You will use the "Toolbar.." flavor in

some situations but you will use the

"UWP app window" flavor for some

on "New", the windows disappears

"Snip & Sketch" re-appears with the

permanently pin it to the Taskbar:

"Taskbar", it will always be there on

the "Taskbar" for you to use:
