Munster Junior B Football League Final Sunday 13th of March saw Sneem/Derrynane travel to Knockaderry, Limerick for the Final of the Munster Junior B Football League. A great game was played with a f inal score of Sneem/Derrynane 0-11 to Kilmeen 0-7points. County League Result f rom First round of County League played on Sunday 20th March. Sneem/Derrynane 1-10 Ballylongford 0-09. A tough hard fought match in which we ground out a well-deserved win in a game in which the hits were hard and f requent. 2 points on the board with 10

more games to go. Next game is next Sunday 27th March at 2:00pm against Rathmore B in Rathmore.

Visiting Students A study abroad group f rom Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania visit-ed Sneem for a few days with guide Batt Burns. Joe Murphy met with the group to describe the work of the Tidy Towns Committee. The students then laid gravel on the river walking path with Jerry, picked up litter, and helped assemble com-munity newsletters. It was the third visit to Sneem for faculty leaders Lindsey Wotanis and Laurie McMillan, and they look forward to bringing more students in future years. Thank You The Editors of the Community Notice Board would like to thank the students who helped out with the newsletter.

Couch to 5K Pictured lef t some of the group who took part in the Couch to 5k run on Saturday 12th March. They have been training 3 times a week for 8 weeks as part of Sneem GAA running club, the race was bright and early at 8am and the rain (mostly) stayed away. They had a good run. Can't wait for the next one!

Our National Flag St Michael's National School raised The National Flag on Tuesday 15th March. Eoin O Dwyer the eldest student in the school raised the Flag. The boys f rom the senior room read the 1916 Proclamation and the girls read a Proclama-tion that they had written themselves. Thank you to our parents, neighbours and f riends for attending.
