Family medicine is the only medical specialty in which doctors treat patients of all ages, genders and for all conditions. We focus on prevention and wellness and provide care across the life span, from pregnancy and birth through end-of-life care. Our doctors find great joy in their relationships with patients, watching families grow and develop through a lifetime.

Our services include:• Family-centered primary care for all ages

– Well-child checks – Teen care – Adult medicine – Geriatric care – Preventive medicine• School and sports physicals• Sports medicine• Same day visits • Acute care• Chronic disease management• Women’s health (family planning and pregnancy care)• Care for the GLBT community• Onsite pharmacy • Interpreter services, if needed (Please request when

For our patients we also provide:• Behavioral Health Services including cognitive

behavioral therapy for depression, anxiety, life stress, or adjusting to medical illness

• Office-based procedures such as: – Simple skin biopsies – Newborn circumcisions – Joint injections – Foot care – Colposcopy – IUDs and Nexplanon birth control

We have staff dedicated to meeting your specific needs beyond the clinic. Our Care Coordinators can assist with:• Government and community resources• Parenting and family resources • General care coordination

Health Care Home is a team approach that makes sure you get the healthcare services and support you need. Patients enrolled will be assigned a care coordinator to assist in answering questions, scheduling referral appointments, and setting health-related goals.

Healthcare in Your CommunitySmiley’s Family Medicine Clinic is part of your community. We offer a number of opportunities for health screening and education at your next work, school, church or community event. We can also offer educational presentations. If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please ask.

Residency ProgramAs partners with the University of Minnesota Medical School, we are proud to train the next generation of healthcare providers. We have an exceptional group of experienced Family Medicine doctors who are faculty members at the University who work with our Family Medicine residents. As residents, these doctors have completed their undergraduate education and medical school, and are doing further training in the specialty of family medicine. Because our doctors are always teaching and learning, they are familiar with the most up-to-date medical knowledge and practices.
