July 2012 Yard of the Month 167 Antebellum Way Congratulations! What’s New in Southern Magnolias The Bash at the Bayou is still scheduled for September 1, 2012, Labor Day weekend, on Bayou Crossing. This will be an informal block party event for everyone to attend. We plan to have a jump castle, a snow cone machine, hamburgers, hotdogs, beverages and games for the kids. Please feel free to bring any side dishes to share or your own beverages. Also, we will have some shade and a few chairs but, we encourage you to bring you own seats, games or other forms of outside entertainment. (Corn hole, water balloons, footballs ext.) If anyone has any experience painting faces or has any other ideas for the kids, please contact us or just bring supplies for the activity to the party. Please remember to mark the date and tell your neighbors! The more of us that attend the more exciting the event will be. We hope to see you there! In an effort to go green, the SMHOA board has decided to try something new with our monthly news letter. This newsletter will be available on our Facebook page and our Website (listed above) as usual but, we will not be handing out hard copies throughout the neighborhood. If anyone reading this knows someone who would like a hard copy of the monthly news letter, please let us know and we will mail a hard copy to their home. Please remember to keep our neighborhood clean. We have had some issues with vandalism and dumping in the retainage ponds around the development. Please dispose of your trash and yard clippings in an appropriate manner and keep our common areas clean. Dorchester real estate has been sending out notifications of covenant violations. If you would like to discuss any violation sent to your home or if you feel you have received a violation by mistake, please feel free to call Deb at Dorchester Real Estate or contact anyone on the Board. If you notice any violations you would like to discuss, please follow the same channels or submit your issue in the comment section of our website. The comments are sent directly to the board. The board would like to thank everyone that has spent so much of their time and effort to make Southern Magnolias such a beautiful place to live. Great job everyone! Congratulations to John and Angel at167 Antebellum Way for winning the August 2012 Yard of the Month! They will receive a $50 Home Depot gift card in addition to having a photo of their winning yard posted on our website, Face book page and in our newsletter.

What’s New in Southern Magnolias
