Fine Arts

This program is designed to provide students with knowledge of humane, literary, dramatic and historical perspectives which are the foundation for story.

While SMCC students earn their Associate Degree, they can participate in award-winning theatrical productions at our state-of-the-art Performance Art Center, explore the ancient art of storytelling at the SMCC Storytelling Institute, or harmonize in our unmatched Music Department.

In addition to core classes offered for transfer, our imaginative art program offers night studio classes in Painting and Ceramics. Much of the unparalleled artwork created at South Mountain has been permanently incorporated into the architecture of the campus.

Trio

Trio is a program that is set up to help students who need that extra support. Trio provides they students with opportunities that student wouldn’t have other wise like… Broadway shows, campus tours, scholarship opportunities, and other helpful fun activities.

Trio is very student oriented and works to help their students succeed. They provide private tutoring for their students and scholarship opportunities those students out side of Trio wouldn’t be able to receive. Trio on our campus has become such a helpful resource to our students who might not have had these opportunities before.
