How does it work? A Remote Download Device is installed in each vehicle and connected to the digital tachograph. The device manages the authentication of the Company Card and download process for the Driver Card and Vehicle Unit data. The device transmits the data via GPRS or WLAN over the Internet for analysis and reporting using Smartanalysis. Smartdownload allows you to hold the Company Card in your office. The process authenticates as if the Company Card were in the vehicle so that the required files can be downloaded and passed to Smartanalysis. Once the schedule for downloading data has been set up everything happens automatically in the background with minimal intervention and management. Smartdownload eliminates the need for depot based download devices. Existing operators are saving 26 man- hours/vehicle/year using Smartdownload. What do I need? To take advantage of Smartdownload you will need the following: 1 Smartanalysis for analysis and reporting of Driver Card and Vehicle Unit tachograph data. 2 A Smartcard reader in the office for authenticating the Company Card. 3 Remote Download Devices installed in each vehicle. 4 Digital tachograph (VDO 1.3 or Stoneridge Rev 7.0). 5 Connection via WLAN or GPRS to the Internet. It enables operators to download Driver Card Files and Vehicle Unit data automatically

to a set schedule, safeguarding compliance, cutting costs and minimising time spent

managing the whole process.
