What is GREAT About This

Book GREAT CONTENT that you can understand, like the

Latte Factor

EXERCISES to drive points home and take you to the next step

STORIES you can relate to. You can see yourself, your Mom, your Grandmother, your sister, your friend in these stories.

CHUNKS that you can work on. Bring your friends and family along for the ride. Great book club book!

What is NOT So Great About

This Book DATED – I won’t lie. It was written in late 1999 and the

interest rates they use don’t seem realistic any longer

WORK – This is NOT a fun book to read! You need to

do the exercises to make it make a difference. This is

not high level data you can read while in the bath. You

HAVE to take action.

PRINT – My book has small print. I rarely if ever have

to wear glasses to read. With this book, I have to wear

reading glasses.

Money Myths Myth #1 – Make more money and you’ll be rich!

Myth #2 – My husband (or some other man) will take

care of me.

Myth #3 – The Government has finally gotten inflation

under control.

Do Your Habits Reflect Your

VALUES

What do you value in life?

Are your financial habits supportive of that?

Do you want to save for a house but spend money every

day for coffee at Starbucks?

Do you value family but won’t spend money to do a family

dinner

Complete a value ladder to help you put your spending

habits in alignment with your values

The “Bus Book” What happens if you get hit by a bus – does anyone

know where to find your financial records?

Create a “Bus Book” with EVERYTHING in it

TIP: He tells you EXACTLY what to name your files.

Set Your Goals Now that you know where you are, where are you

going?

Exercise takes you from specific goals to desired

outcomes and makes you identify some potential

challenges and strategies to eliminate or lessen those

challenges.

Latte Factor How just a few dollars a week can add up to a lot of

money over time (compounding)

Save $2/day when you hit 20, you’ll have $1 million in

savings by the time you hit 65

EVERYONE can save $2/day.

Don’t Put All Your Eggs in

One Basket! DIVERSIFY – If one basket

falls, you still have eggs

left!

Just 3 baskets!

Security – 6

Retirement

Dream Basket (my

favorite!)

10 Biggest Investment

Mistakes Mistake #2 – Not taking credit card debt seriously

Mistake #5 – Putting off saving for retirement

Mistake #10 – GIVING UP!

Raising Smart Kids!

Attracting Greater Wealth Commandment #2 – Ask for a raise

Commandment #4 – Start your own business

Commandment #7 – Work each day as if you were

going on vacation tomorrow.
