ET Explained
Evapotranspiration (ET) is the rate at which plants lose moisture due to evaporation and transpiration. There is a predictable amount of replacement moisture that needs to be applied when rainfall is defi cient. Weathermatic™ introduces the SLFSI-S, a new series of saddle
type fl ow sensors for 80mm and 100mm PVC pipe.
The SLFSI-S wires directly to the SmartLink™ Aircard
with Flow, enabling web-based fl ow management
from your SmartPhone, Tablet, or Computer.
The saddle type sensors utilize the same fl ow sensor insert
used in the tee type SLFSI-T Series sensors.
The insert, held in place with a retaining nut, contains the
detection circuitry and carries the unique four-bladed ultra
light impeller on a transverse axle.
The insert mounts in a housing that controls the depth and
alignment of the impeller, unlike insert type sensors that
may be mis-aligned or set to the wrong depth. The housing
is permanently attached to the PVC saddle; therefore, no

The pressure regulating stem (PRS) maintains the pressure
to the nozzle at the optimum 210 kPa, even with varying
inlet pressure, ensuring maximum nozzle performance.
The PRS saves both money and water by helping
to stop misting and fogging caused by high water
pressures and improves the effi ciency and evenness of
water distribution on the landscapes. This more even
application of water means you can run your system for
less time while still applying the right amount of water to
the landscape.
MAINTAINS CONSTANT PRESSURE
PRS maintains constant outlet pressure at 210 kPa.
Spray nozzles perform best at 210 kPa. Ensures maximum
nozzle performance, even with varying inlet pressures.
Maintains constant pressure regardless of nozzles used.
RESTRICTS WATER LOSS
PRS restricts water loss by up to 70% if a nozzle is
removed or damaged, saving water and money. It also
