The SMART (Science Math And Real Technology) Girls Summer Program is a week-long day camp in math, science, and technology at the Atlanta Girls’ School for girls entering grades 4 through 7. At this camp, students experience the excitement and joy of science and mathematics. Through investigation and exploration in a nurtur- ing environment, SMART Girls strives to produce curious and con- dent students who are adept at problem-solving and enthusiastic about discovery. SMART Girls encourages students to see math, science, and tech- nology as collaborative and eye-opening subjects. Motivated stu- dents engage in challenging activities that push the limits of their knowledge. Students who struggle with math and science during the school year will nd that these subjects can be exciting when working together to share, experiment with, and rene ideas. Students will have two morning sessions in which they learn math, science, and/or technology skills through hands-on experiments and discovery. Among the course topics are: The afternoon sessions complement the academic work of morn- ing classes with humanities programs in elds such as dance, art, literature, and foreign language enrichment. Through exciting ac- tivities that combine creativity and team-building, girls learn to mix laughter with challenge. All sessions are held on the Atlanta Girls’ School campus and are open to girls entering grades 4-7. Session 1: June 7-11 Session 2: June 14-18 Session 3: June 21-25 Session 4: June 28-July 2 There are two enrollment options for students in the SMART Program: Full-day option (8:30 AM-3:00 PM): Includes morning SMART Girls classes, a break for lunch, and after- noon classes. Tuition is $350/week. Morning-only option (8:30 AM- 12:00 PM): Includes SMART Girls classes only. Tuition is $225/week.
