Most Useful Tool

This one is a stand out for me because: Teacher Efficiency - It is more efficient to store

files, as well as collaborate with my colleagues on documents. Instead of us each creating our own letters, for example, we can utilize Google Docs, work on it together and store the file with easier access.

Student Efficiency – Currently every student has their own personal drive at school, I cannot access easily and the “shared” drive fills up. Students would be able to easily get to their work at any computer. I also foresee having projects where students are also collaborating.

Successes

Google in general and everything it has to offer. I love having one place to go to and having

everything I use linked together. In addition, the ability to get on my Google account on any computer. No longer do I have to worry about where I save things.

My initial success and excitement is the ease of using Google Docs. There are so many possibilities from personal to professional uses.

Google Sites, again another great way to be in the 21st Century and be much more efficient.

I now use iGoogle everyday to keep up with the latest news, Blogs and information in the world of education.

Challenges I believe the biggest challenge is to get

others on board with Google and all it has to offer. At this point, I feel most people know how to “Google” something to obtain more information, but that is really where it stops for those “non-techy” people. To bring others into the world of Google beyond the well known Search Engine is the challenge.

I think the best way to face this challenge is with small breakthroughs. I plan on using many of the things learned here with my grade partners.

Moodle and Online Learning

I am a huge fan of Moodle and Online Learning. Ability to complete the course on my time

frame is a huge advantage. I highly recommend taking Moodle courses, I

find them to be very user friendly and I feel I am learning the way many of our children will be learning things in the future.
