Small Talk Edition 115 Page 21
Central Goldfields Miniature Pony Promotional Group
The parades are over and our ponies did so well
in promoting the breed. Many people spoke to
us about the miniature pony, surprised at how
well behaved they were in a crowded and noisy
atmosphere – well out of their comfort zone of a
paddock to run in.
Our visiting Dentist Esther Davis emphasised the necessity in looking after our pony’s teeth, which was reiterated
in the Small Talk magazine.
We are looking forward to our Stud Tour in June and are currently looking for more events to promote our Group
and the Miniature Pony.
Some great news for the next show season – the Heathcote A.P. & H. Show Society has agreed to a request made
by our group, to extend the Miniature Pony classes to include Champion & Reserve Champion Led Female, Led
Male and Led Gelding as well as a Supreme Exhibit. We need to support this 2012 show held on Melbourne
Cup day 6th November, otherwise in 2013 classes will be reduced to a bare minimum again.
An early reminder - Sunday November 26th 2012 is a date to jot down, as once again we will be holding our
Triple Crown Show at Heathcote Showgrounds.
The group meets the 3rd Sunday of each month and we welcome new members. Phone Glen 54462173 for further
details.
So members and ponies, sit back, keep warm, for soon enough, the show, and foaling season will be upon us
again.

Gippsland Miniature Pony Promotional Group Here we are again
I would like to thank all the people that helped me while being the Gippsland Group Representative and am hop-
ing that they will all do it again as I have been elected for another year, going to help me this year are Marie
Smith as Treasurer, Elizabeth Damen as Minute Taker, and Brooke Collie as Magazine Editor. If anyone has
things like Stud/Pony Profiles or anything they would like to put in the magazine please email Brooke and let her
know.
I hope everyone is getting out and supporting the shows, as I have found it is a lot of hard work and personal time
to organize them, so don’t be afraid to lend a hand where you can.
Dates to remember:-
July 29th Casserole lunch at the Damen Property, Jindivick
October 14th Inaugural Harness Show run by Westernport and Gippsland Groups
Keep up the good work everyone as we all know there won’t be a Group without us.
