Each picture on this activity guide is a small detail of a larger artifact in the Bullock Museum. The objects are part of people’s daily lives. How many of the artifacts can you find using the picture clues? If you were a soldier sailing on the La Belle ship, you probably kept one of these by your side. This one dissolved in the salt water, but it left behind an imprint in the sand on the sea floor. We can make imprints in sand, mud, and clay. Have you ever left an imprint behind? What print did you make? On special occasions, men in the military wore hats like this one. Notice the decorations on the hat. Think of when you wore something for a special time. How did you feel when you wore it? 1st Floor Exhibits This piece of pottery showing African design might have been packed in the trunk of someone moving to Texas many years ago.
