You can optimize your website to rank on
the first page of top search engines like
Google, Yahoo, MSN and Bing.
This does not happen overnight, first your
website must be optimized and you must
have several backlinks leading to your
website coming from other popular websites
in your niche. You can do this yourself, or
hire someone else to do it for you.

How to optimize your website:1. Choose a url (website name) with your business
name or the keywords people search for to find
your service. Keep in mind .com is more
respected than .net and others.

How to optimize your website:2. Choose the right title tag, they tell both users and
search engines what your webpage is all about. Each page
on your site should have a different title tag, and should
ideally include the key search terms your customers are
looking for. Try to keep your title tag within 66 characters
so the entire tag will show up on the search engines.

How to optimize your website:3. Choose the right “description” meta tags, they give a
short summary of what your web page is all about. Keep
your description tag around 2-3 sentences long, include
key search terms and write it in normal a speaking tone,
as if you were explaining it to a friend.

How to optimize your website:4. Make your website easy to navigate, so visitors can quickly
find what they are looking for and search engines can easily
index all of the pages of your website. Your home page
should have a navigation bar with a link leading to every
page on your website. Plus include a sitemap.

How to optimize your website:6. Include anchor text in your web copy. Anchor text is the clickable
text that users can click to get to another web page or attached
document on your website or another website. Make sure the words
of the text include your target search terms, and make sure the web
page or document your linking to has the same search terms or
content related to that search term. Search engine bots are looking
for correlations between what is linking to and from your website. If
the content is related, this will optimize your website. See examples

How to optimize your website:7. Add Alt tags to the photos on your website. Alt
tags allow you to specify alternative text for an
image if the browser your visitor is using does not
support photos, the content of the atl attribute
provides info about the picture. It also makes it
easier for Google Image Search to understand
your images.

used to present structure on the web page to
users, its a visual cue to show that this text is
important, and it describes the text below it. Use
multiple heading sizes and bold to create
structure on your website which will make it easier

Be sure to thank followers for sharing your posts and
retweet other followers posts 3+times per day. Make
sure your Twitter handle is on your website, blogs,

business (like a workshop, teleseminar, podcast or
webinar) and invite your LinkedIn contacts to attend.
