The Small Business
Development Initiative
(SBDI) was developed to
assist small business owners
and aspiring entrepreneurs
in starting and growing
businesses.
According to the SBA, the two
primary reasons for business
failure is a lack of planning and
inadequate access to business
credit and funding. The SBDI
addresses both at no cost to
qualified participants.
Why is the SBDI needed?
Small businesses are a critical
component and major
contributor to the strength of
local economics. Existing
resources are commonly
viewed as inaccessible, too
complicated, or cost prohibitive
for most small businesses.
