• Mediastinal mass
• CYTOLOGY:
• MASS: Anaplastic adenocarcinoma
• PLEURAL FLUID: Modified transudate with hemorrhage and mesothelial reactivity

• 7 year old FS Miniature Pinscher
• Vomited up a piece of blanket

• Ultrasound:
• Multiple, fluid dilated intestinal loops
• Hard shadowing material
• Hyperechoic mesentery
• Surgery:
• Large portion of jejunum was dilated and ischemic
• Histopathology
• Severe transmural congestion and hemorrhage with multifocal villous blunting and necrosis

• 3 month old F Husky
• Patient jumped out of a truck, and was acutely lame

• Chronic cough
WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND?
THORACIC ULTRASOUND
DIAGNOSIS/OUTCOME
• Thoracic ultrasound:
• Non-aerated right middle lung with multifocal angular mineralization
• Bronchoscopy:
• Inflammation, airway collapse, and mucus in the airways
• Cytology:
• Moderate to marked mixed, primarily neutrophilic and eosinophilic inflammation with mild macrophage reactivity was seen
• Findings consistent with eosinophilic disease such as feline asthma.
• Treatment: Prednisolone, Doxycycline pending Mycoplasma culture
CASE 6
• 4 month old MN German Shepherd
• Chronic regurgitation, thin body condition
DIAGNOSIS/OUTCOME• Hospitalization for IV fluid therapy, Nebulization
• Amoxicillin, Baytril
• Frequent, small, elevated feedings
• Acetylcholine receptor antibody titers: Negative
• Cortisol levels: Normal
