Malēnieši uztaisīja namu, bet aizmirsa ierīkot logus. Tādēļ gaismu namā nesa ar maisiem iekšā.

g – atom-field coupling coefficient;N – number of atoms; – Rabi frequency; – relaxation rate of optical coherences;k – the wave vector;L – the atomic vapor cell length;
Delay and transmission of pulse as a function of control field power; The active medium is Rb vapor in near room temperature buffered with 5 torr of Ne. I. Novikova, M. Klein, D.F. Phillips and R.L. Walsworth; Proceedings of SPIE 5735, 87-97 (2005)

Storing the Slowed Light
• The long (several km) light impulse is compressed to few m;
• The energy is transfered back and forth from the coupling to the probe field via atomic states;
• If the coupling field is turned off the light is “stored” entirely in the atomic states.
