Comenius Partnership MeetingAnkara , TURKEYTuesday 18-10-2010

Present: Geert Peters, Susanna Karlsson, Maria Isacsson (Sweden) Dani Martinez, Imma Piquer (Spain) Ugur Gurses ( Turkey)

Note : Ireland was not able to join the meeting via video conference due to some technical problems.

1. Review of work completed and planned so far

Belgium • Ornanize a healthy year. There are many groups in our school. We will arrange a big school group for healthy living. In September, we have made a big start. We got a team about environment. It was week of forest last week. Our group has made a treasure box. • In October, we will have a walk in the nature.• In November, we will have fire exercise. Evacuation exercise.

In December, we will try to lead pupils to have a healthy feast.• In January, we will not have an activity.• In February, we will support the pupils fill them with self-esteem.• In March, we will work on water. Recycling, preserving.• In April, we will focus on spring and winter seasons. • In June, safety will be our priority.Bicycle driving will be one of them.

Turkey We will continue what we started last year.

• We will go bird observation• We will have healthy days• We will build a wind mill on our roof• We will grow vegetables in the garden

Spain: · We will do the same things that we have done.

Our government will send us fruit and we will have brochette which have different kinds of fruit to encourage them.· We will encourage the pupils to use reusable wrapping stuff.· The pupils in our school focus on saving energy much more than ever. But we want to show the other pupils that we are doing something in our school. We want to show the progress. We want to compare this year with the last year using the graphics and coordinate this with other fields like maths.· We are going to held a healthy living competititon. We will found teams. We will use the electronic pedometers and we will see how long they walk. We will evaluate the them in teams.

Sweden:· We work on recycling and saving energy all the time.· We clean the environment with the pupils.

We talk about the environmental diseases and problems.· The pupils do not have breakfast at home and we have breakfast with them to encourage them.· We will design a plate model which will give an idea what they should eat.· We encourage them to have fruits.· We organize orienteering.· We are preparing musical. · Physcological health is being emphasized and we have a counsellor to talk to pupils for their problems.Girls and boys share their problems separately with the counsellor.

2. Decisions

TWO YEAR PLAN

• Mobilities:The visit to Spain will be carried out between 22th April and 27th April 2011.The visit to Belgium will be carried out between 2nd February and 6th February, 2011.

• One year report:Each country will put together their part and then send it to Belgium, that is responsible for the report. The hotel will be arranged in the city of Antwerp and the transportation will be by train.

• NewsletterA decision was made that the one term newsletter will be carried as slide shows that we publish on the blog. Send the slides to Dani and he will publish them on the blog.

· Video conference:There have been some problems with the video conferences set up. Maria and Ugur will investigate other possibilities and software.

• Mail:Every mails will be kept on being sent to each coordinators of the teams.
