North Queensland. This is an opportunity for the growing meat industy as there are very few

operational slaughter houses within the whole of the Northern Region.

This slaughterhouse is currently used predominantly for the slaughter of pigs. The facility is capable

of also handling cattle.

Taylors beach is located right on the East Coast of North Queensland. It is very close to major

airports, sea ports for exports and central to the majority of cattle grazing country in North

Queensland. Its natural surroundings and attributes makes it a beautiful location to work within.

Weather

Summer in Taylors Beach is between December and February and maximum daily temperatures average between 29.8 and 30.3°C with overnight minimums averaging between 25.2 and 25.4°C. Summer days are very warm, averaging around 30.3 °C in the hottest months.

Winter is between June and August and maximum daily temperatues average between 23.3 and 24.3°C with overnight minimums averaging between 17.8 and 19.1°C. Winter days in Taylors Beach are moderate but can be moderately cool if windy, dropping to around 23.3 °C.

Compared to the rest of Australia, Taylors Beach experiences exceptionally high overnight temperatures and wind speed. Daytime temperatures, rainfall and humidity levels are above average.

Average annual rainfall is approx. 2000 mm per annum (80 inches)

Pigs: General kill rate has been 8 pigs per hour

from this one source. All connections are in good order and wired to government standards.

Property Characteristics:

This property comprises of gently undulating partally cleared and developed grazing land with the

balance, a mix of standing timber and wetland influences.

The developed land has been cleared and sown to pasture

A road has been constructed through the property to provide access to the northern adjoining

property. This roadway is not aligned to any survey but has been in use for many years.
