Why A Placement Test?• To ensure correct placement in math classesDo I have to Take the Test?

• No. We will also be using each student’s CST score and their last grade report

• Yes! The Course Fair/Registration is where you sign-up for classes and secure your spot at Skyline High School for the 2012/2013 school year
What If I do not make the course fair/registration?• First, students who make it to the Course Fair/Registration will have first pick
selecting classes• Second, Skyline High School was packed with students during the 2011/2012
school year - we cannot guarantee your spot for the 2012/2013 school year if you do not attend
If I can’t make it, will there be a make-up date?• Make up sessions will be made on a case-by-case basis• Please contact Marisol Arkin &/or Christina Macalino for an appointment

What is a Course Request Review?• Skyline High School will be printing out Course Requests for students in May• Students will be given a chance before the end of the current school year to
ensure they have signed up for the correct classesWill I be able to change by course requests at that time?
• Yes! Within certain guidelines based upon your Course Request Form, transcript and academic need
Will I be able to change at the beginning of the next school year?• No! Our goal is to get all changes done in May so that we can begin the
2012/2013 school year quickly
