About Sky Rider Automotive:

“SKY RIDER AUTOMOTIVE” was established in the month of September, 2011as “Sky Riders”. The company is firmly into the training and development on Aerospace engineering and Automobile engineering along with its peripheral subject matter in the name of “Institute of Aero Design” and “Institute of Auto Design” respectively. Major functionality of the company is doing thorough research to provide quality workshops and training on Aeromodelling, Automobile and CAD, Manufacturing training in different institutions across country and at our centres. We provide the best possible facilities, scope and platform to our students to gain, implement and explore. Best trainers who have won several awards in their respective fields Is our major strength. We are working in a partnership with “Gram Tarang Employability Training Service- The preeminent player in Skill based education providing sector”, “NSDC- Govt of India”, and “Mini tool room and training centre- A Govt of Odisha initiative” to enhance our quality of workshops and trainings.

Our courses have been approved by NSDC. We provide NSDC certificate to our participants.

Aim of the workshops we provide:

India lags far behind in the field Aerospace as compared to other fore players like USA,

Russia. Our students are though interested in this field but do not get a scope and opportunity

for research due to lack of awareness and guidance.

We aim to create that awareness and a space in each student’s heart and mind, which

will drive them to make a career in Aerospace engineering. We start our mission from very

basics of aero engineering knowledge and lead them to the peak of enthusiasm and hence

success.

Flying is not easy for a beginner. But it’s our challenge; participating

teams can build and fly any kind of aircraft model after the workshop

without our guidance.

Aeromodelling is not only a hobby but also a primary step towards aerospace

engineering. It includes design and fabrication of a prototype model which gives a clear idea

about a real type model. All the theories and calculations that are needed in designing a real

Achievements of our trainers:

Our team participated in IIT-Kharagpur in the year 2011 and was the finalist in boat

designing event.

In 2012 the team won the Aeromodelling competition at IIT-Guwahati.

In the year of 2013 team won award in IIT-KGP in aeromodelling event.

In 2015 the team own 3rd prize in Boeing national aeromodelling event conducted at

IIT-KGP.

Same year team own 1st prize in aeromodelling event at IIST (ISRO).

Team participated in National level Boeing aeromodelling challenge conducted in IIT-

DELHI among 12 teams from India.

In addition to that, the team was adjudged Best Trainer of Aeromodelling award from

Centurion University, Orissa after two successful workshops in their university.

Got sponsorship by Airtel India for manufacturing Formula-1 racing car.

Objectives of Workshops:

The primary objective of our workshop is to deliver every details of an aircraft which makes

it fly. We will teach all calculations related to making of a model aircraft to real type aircraft,

aero dynamics, fluid dynamics, basic of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) etc. during our

workshops.

The secondary objective is to teach students how to fabricate an RC-aircraft which can

fly with the help of Transmitter (Practical Analysis). After the workshop, a student will be able

to construct any kind of flying machine without further assistance. We aim to educate our

participants. Once a participant attends our workshop will be a part of our family and we will

provide any kind of technical support whenever he/she needs.

Theory of any concept is important, but practical expertise is also equally

essential.

In the consecutive years of 2012, 2013 and 2014 more than 20 teams, who trained by us

from different institutions, were finalist and award winners of aero events at IIT KGP, IIT

Madras, IIST-ISRO, IIT Delhi and IIT Mumbai. 2015 at IIT KGP eight teams among thirty finalists

were our participants.

Some of our students have won various state level competition and science fairs. We are

determined to bring unaccountable success for our participants in exchange of their interest

towards our workshop.

What workshops do we provide?

Aeromodelling-

RC Gliders-

A glider or sail plane is an aircraft which floats in air with the

use of lest power and is a slow moving aircraft. These are such

plane which doesn’t have a power source but flies due to its

aerodynamic property.

In Glider workshop every minute details of a glider with all

mathematical and physical aspects will be covered. Then

students will be provided with materials such as corrugated plastic, Styrofoam to make their

own gliders and finally those gliders will be tested.

Water Rockets-

It’s a prototype of a Real rocket. Students will build a single stage

water rocket where water is used as propellants. All the materials will be

provided by us and they will build their own rocket. After the workshop

students will launch their won rocket using our launching pad. We

demonstrate by making one launcher for all the teams for their

knowledge. Every basic science behind propulsion and aerodynamics of a

rocket will be delivered in the workshop.

Radio controlled beginner aircraft-

A best workshop for the student to begin aeromodelling. Here

students will make their own model planes and fly. During this is the

workshop basic of planes including their aerodynamics, theories,

and principles will be taught from very basic level. We recommend

this workshop for the students who are new in this field. It will give

them all required details starting from zero level to a satisfactory

level. After this workshop, a student can make any model he/she

wants. This beginner model not only easy to fly, but also are best

aerobatics. Workshop will be of 2-3 days depending on the host interest.

Quad-copter workshop-

Demand for multi-rotors in various fields increasing day by

day. To meet the demand we educate students from basic of

multi-rotors and teach them how to build a multi rotor and fly it.

Theories behind multirotor, programming, electronics details,

assembly procedure and troubleshooting process will be covered

in the workshop. Using different control boards we make multi rotors by wood, aluminum and

plastic. Students have to fabricate the frame using the material we will provide, according to

drawings.

It’s one of the most demanding and successful workshop for us. With best flyers and veteran

trainers we are leading in market. The electronic provided by us are not only of low cost, but of

best quality.

R.C. Kite -

Kite is to the most entertaining game over decades. Now who want to

spare time making a conventional kite? Let’s spend some time making a

kite which will fly even more height and faster. Best part of it is; it will be

in our control all the time. Yes, it’s a RC KITE workshop, where students

will make their own RC kite fly with a radio controller.

Bi-PANES-

During nineties and world war Bi-planes were the only fighter plane

because of its maneuvering and acrobatics. In the workshop the student

will make their model and fly it. We will teach different aerobatics and

skills to students to fly such models. Materials as Corrugated plastic, balsa

will be provided to make a Bi-Plane.

RC Boats-

Apart from flying models, we facilitate student to learn boat designing

also. In the RC boat workshop we will teach very details of construction of

a boat, fluid dynamics and all required technical ideas. Student will make

their RC boat from high density Styrofoam and test it on water container.

3-D plane-

3 D plane is well known as the best flying machine for aeromodellers.

It’s really a fun to fly and fun to watch it flying. It’s a model which can

show all types of maneuvering and aerobatics. We provide workshop

of this beautiful flying object as well. Student will make their own 3-

Dmodel by corrugated plastic and Styrofoam after theory lecture. A

dedicated class for aerobatics and maneuvering will be conducted, and

we will give different aerobatics training to students during flying

session.

RC Delta wing and swept aircraft- One of the fastest moving aircraft is a delta wing plane. Its

sweep angle of wing helps it to overcome the drag and flies in a greater

speed than a normal wing plane. In this workshop students will be

taught in details of a delta wing and swept plane. From basic of a

normal plane to delta wing plane details will be covered in this workshop. During the practical

session student will make their own RC model using corrugated plastic and Balsa. At the end of

the workshop we will fly those models and teach them the flying tricks.

RC “FLYING WING” workshop-

An aircraft having on a wing as its whole system and can

show acrobats!!! Yes it’s a flying wing aircraft. It’s a workshop on

flying wing aircraft, where student will make their own flying wing

aircraft using corrugated plastic & Styrofoam.

Ornithopter workshop-

Rubber powered flapping wing machines are called ornithopter. It’s popularly known as RC bird. We

are providing two kinds of Ornithopter

workshop. Rubber powered Ornithopter

workshop, very basic to learn about

flapping wing machines and second one is

battery powered radio controlled

ornithopter, where student will build RC

birds under our assistance. It will serve as

guidance for students to merge fixed wing and flapping wing machines together.

Brief Agenda of Workshops:

Our workshops will be mostly of two to three days. The number of days to conduct the

workshop will be dependent on host’s feasibility. We prefer three days of workshops for better

interaction with participants.

have to build their frame out of the building materials.

Cost of the workshop with full kit is 18500/- per team.

Students will be given building material to build their quad-copter. We will provide

electronics to the team. After flying testing and flying training students have to return all

electronics except the frame built by them.
