In contrast to the smooth plastic casing the interior workings of the television offered a greater scope

for a lighting and texture investigation

E X P L O D E Inspired by the works of Pae White, Cornelia Parker and Nike Savvas we created a hanging mobile of the internal components of the TV.

Inspired by the neon aesthetic of Gaspar Noé’s feature film Enter the Void (shown

below) we chose to represent the electrical content of the television’s by creating a

small comic strip.

By manipulating scale, colour and context we attempted to depict our unfamiliarity to

the inner workings of such an otherwise familiar object.
