Immigration officers are responsible for

helping to maintain effective immigration

control by checking the eligibility of

passengers to enter and leave the

Indonesian Territory.

Responsibilities Observing passengers passing through Immigration

Checkpoints areas

Examining passports, visa and permits

Conducting interviews

Taking fingerprints

Profiling/ assessing passengers

Carrying out surveillance

organising the removal of passengers who fail to qualify for

entry

Collecting statistics

Writing reports

Since the job is linked to borders and ports, you may need to relocate in

order to be able to reach your jurisdiction effectively. You may also be

required to work nights and some weekends. Working hours are usually

very flexible.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree Graduates or equal

Undertaking Immigration Training

Programs

New recruits receive an initial period of

training that takes at least 10 months.

English Course/ Background with IELTS

or TOEFL or any ETS.

Chinese language will be advantageous.

Immigration officers are facing and tackling: Illegal migrants

Transnational Organized Crime (TOC)

Extraordinary Crime (Terrorism, Drugs Trafficking, Human Trafficking, Money Laundring)

Misuse of Visa and Permits

Documents Fraud

Impostors

Interpol Wanted Persons (DPO)

and other threats pertaining to the national security

Cooperation and Coordination with other law enforcement agencies (TNI, POLRI, BIN, KPK, BNN, Interpol etc.) dealing with CEKAL (Watchlist and Wanted Persons)

Effective Communication with Embassy, Consulate, ALO, other Immigration boards (DIBP, ICA, KISS, etc)
