Computer Class: Computer classes are held from Monday to Saturday. We teach basic & advance computer, Tally, AutoCAD, Photoshop and so forth. In 2014, we held 298 computer classes representing an attendance of 1939. We are unable to increase the average number of students per class because of lack of PCs. We look to your support for increasing the number of PCs. Activity class: 215 classes were held in one batch on every day except Saturday & Sunday at 3:00 to 4:00 pm. During the class students learnt various dances on based on kirtans and other mantras like Hey Ma, Gayatri Mantra, Mahisasur Mardini, Hanuman Chalisa etc. dances were taught which is developed by our sir, Mr. Prem Verma. In this class, children play various games also. This year SKILL Foundation has developed two dances based on Hindi song “Tumhi ho bandhu sakha tumhi ho” and “SKILL Foundation Wale” This dance has been adapted on the tune of the popular song ‘India wale’. The lyrics of our song have been prepared by the students themselves. Other Event: The Foundation has organized other events like Durga Juja, Maha Shiv Ratri etc.

Chandan Branch of SKILL Foundation: Shalini Verma, Trustee of SKILL Foundation took classes in SKILL Foundation’s Chandan Branch (Banka district of Bihar). Students from 2 more villages attended the classes (Siya Tar and Pahridih), in addition to students from Pelwa, Kaichi, Birhinya, Byahi, and Dharwa Tila. On average 25 students attended the classes, which were conducted in the open as a makeshift class. They were primarily taught basic English and they learnt Mantra Chanting to improve their pronunciation. The classes were disrupted by rains on many days. On September 23 the class was filmed by NDTV for its national news program – The India Story segment. This is branch is located in Siljori village in the Banka District. Given its rural location, we face challenges in smoothly running these classes. The classes have to be adjusted and at times discontinued to accommodate students who help their family in farming activities in certain months. We are seeing a very strong demand for our English courses among rural children in Chandan. 8th Annual Function Preparation: The date of annual function has been shifted in February 2015. We have started the preparation for the function. We are practicing the following things- Ramayana drama, Bhagwad Geeta Stoka, Kirtan dance, Hanuman Chalisa dance, Gayatri Mantra dance etc. FCRA Registration: After a two day rigorous inspection on 24-1-12
