All youth enrolling in any SKIES programs MUST be current CYS Servicesmembers. Participation in classes will be denied if registration is not current, with no

reimbursement for paid programs. There is no fee for enrollment, but this must beupdated every year (registration will expire after one year, and youth will be denied 

access to the programs until registration is updated ).Application packets can be picked up from Parent Central Services at Clark Hall or 

on the web at www.drummwr.com . Youth must carry their enrollment key FOBSwith them to sign in to and out of our programs. Youth in programs at the Youth

Center can sign themselves in and out of our programs  – ALL OTHER students

must have their parents sign them in and out (School age and younger)!

 All youth MUST be disenrolled from each monthly program they are registered in

where charges are billed automatically. Charges do continue for each space

occupied until a disenrollment form is submitted, and parents will be responsible for 

 paying the bills. Programs needing disenrollment forms include gymnastics,

taekwondo, and may include others - please confirm at the time of registration.

 Please submit forms to our office at 10790 Chapel Drive.

Can be made at our office, any Child Care or Youth facility, or at Parent CentralServices. Ensure the staff make the payment toward your SKIES program bill.

If you are choosing to use the Army Family Covenant to pay for any of the

monthly billed SKIES programs, PLEASE contact our office after the 15th of each month so we can ensure your payment is processed. AFC benefits will pay

out any one-time fees when enrollment is completed (up to the limit set). Parents

are responsible for any bills remaining after the benefits have been applied.

You can also do business with CYS Services on-line! Make appointments withParent Central Services, pay your outstanding balances, sign up for most of the programs offered by SKIES, access registration forms, reprint receipts,and print childcare statements for taxes. Simply go to www.drummwr.com&click on the link near the top left side of the page. Visit or call Parent CentralServices if you need assistance or a login name and password (772-8675).

Babysitting & CPR $65 For Ages 12 & up

Babysitting and Red Cross CPR & First Aid will help train youth to be responsible babysitters. Youth must attend both sessions if complete certification is sought, butmay wish to attend just one piece if that is what they need. The fee must be paid re-gardless of registering for both classes or just part of the class.

 November 3rd & 10th, Register by October 30th.

Times for 3rd — 8:30am to 3:30pm, Time for 10th — 10am to 3:30pm .Cost: $65.00 per student.Both classes will be held at the SKIES  classroom, 10790 Chapel Drive.

CYSS Teen & Sports Office and programs

The Sports Office and programs will be moving into the same facilitySKIES is in...10790 Chapel Drive. The Teen Center will be moving

next door into the newly constructed facility.Look for both programs to move sometime early this fall, and soon all

our programs will be in close proximity again.

The SKIES program will also undergo some changes - we will beexpanding our pottery and ceramics area as soon as possible,

so look for additional programs once all the moves andconstruction are complete!!

Martial Arts Program Grades 1-12

Taekwondo classes from Tehonica’s Taekwondo & Hapkido Academy.

Classes meet twice a week - Tuesday & Thursday evenings.

Times: White Belts - 6:00-6:45 pmYellow Belts - 6:45-7:30 pm

Green, Blue, Red, Black Belts - 7:30-8:15 pm

Monthly fees are $70.00 per student. Fees must be paid by the 5th of each month.

All classes are held at the Riva Ridge Center, 10799 N. Riva Ridge Loop.

All About Theater Ages 6 & upTheater workshops are designed to help develop skills needed to perform on the stage.Each week students will utilize charades, karaoke, skits, and vocal activities to de-velop their stage presence. Month-long program — can be repeated as often as stu-dents like — each week will focus on different skills.

Theater group meets every Wednesday during the month from 6-7:30 pm.September 12, 19 & 26; Cost is $30.00 per student.

Kids in the Kitchen Ages 8-14

Learn new recipes for the special holidays and for everyday after school.

Youth will learn about nutrition, measurements, cutting and chopping, andfollowing recipes. They also get to eat everything they make!

Mondays, Ages 8-14, meet from 5-6:30 pm.

Sewing Classes

Required Classes— 

Sewing 101 - Hand Sewing Introduction $6 Ages 6 & up

Hand Sewing Skills (Required class for all other sewing classes).

Hand sewing techniques are used at all levels of sewing. Students learn basic stitchesthat they will use in many of the sewing classes offered. Students will make one pro- ject while learning the stitches.

Fridays from 5-6 pm; Register by Wednesday prior to each class.

Sewing 201 - Machine Introduction $6 Ages 6 & upMachine Sewing (Required class for all other sewing classes)Learn how to use the sewing machines we will be utilizing in all our Level 200 Sew-ing Classes. Students will be instructed on proper use of a machine, how to fix ten-sion, thread machines, roll bobbins, and set stitching features.

Fridays from 6-7:30 pm; Register by Wednesday prior to each class.

Sew-Kool Sewing Club Ages 8 & up

PREREQUISITE: Sewing 101 AND

Sewing 201. 

Enjoy a casual learning environment as we

hand-sew, cut fabrics, make sewn crafts,

and use sewing machines. Students work at

their pace on projects of their choosing — 

staff are available to assist as needed. Somesupplies may need to be purchased by the

students. Classes will be on Thursdays

each month, Time 5:30-7 pm.

October 4, 11, 18 & 25; Cost $38 per student.

Clay — Wheel Throwing Classes Grades 6-12 (Clay 101 and 201 is required upon enrollment in classes)

Classes will teach the fundamentals of clay wedging, wheel centering, and wheelthrowing. Sessions are month-long, and students can register for consecutive ses-

sions to continue to work on their wheel skills. Students will be able to bring allwork completed home after firing (students will be notified when pieces are ready).Pottery pieces completed by students will be eligible to show in local art exhibits.

Wednesdays, Time: 5:00-8:00 pm

September 12, 19 & 26; Cost $45.00

October 3, 10, 17 & 24; Cost $55.00

November 7, 14, 21 & 28; Cost $55.00

December 5, 12 & 19; Cost $45.00 

Cost includes all supplies (clay, all glazingand firing). Students may register for all themonths and will continue to learn and work with different projects.

Clay – Open Studio

(Open to Grades 6-12 who have taken either Clay 101 or Clay 201).Studio time is designed to give the student ample time to design, work on and

complete projects of their own design. Open Studio Time consists of 10 hours of 

use of the pottery studio and equipment, 12 pounds of clay, all glazing and firing for 

 projects created. Students will receive a punch card, and have space in the studio

for their clay and projects underway. Cost for each card is $50.00, and is good for 

six months from purchase. Students will also be able to purchase extra clay if they

need to (12 pound block for $10.00 or 25 pound block for $19.00) .

Open Studio — Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00-7:00 pm.

Pottery & Ceramics

Clay 101  – Open to students ages 6-18. Clay 101 is an introduction to clay using

hand-building techniques. Each student in any of the clay classes is required to take

this class to learn the very basics in using clay and all the machines in the pottery

area. Class fee is $5, and needs to be taken only once. 

Mondays - Time: 5:00-6:00 pm (beginning 10 September)

(No classes on 8 October, 12 November or 24 December)

Clay 201 –  Open to students in grades 6-12. Introduction to clay using wheel

throwing. Students must have already taken Clay 101 and taken at least one class in

hand-building. This class will teach students the basic techniques in using a pottery

wheel. Class fee is $5, and only needs to be taken once.

Mondays - Time: 6:00-7:00 pm

(No classes on 8 October, 12 November or 24 December)

Clay - Hand-Building Classes(Clay 101 required upon enrollment in classes)

Classes will consist of an assortment of projectsthat make up the beginning stages of hand- building with clay. Each class consists con-struction of the project and glazing. Students

will be able to take the piece home after it has been fired (students will be notifiedwhen pieces are ready). Ceramic pieces completed by students will be eligible for showing in local art exhibits.Cost is $15 per class, and includes clay and firing. Registration deadline is threedays prior to the class.

Sewing 205 Tote Bags $18 Ages 12 & up

Make a reversible tote bag for any occasion. Special Classes use holiday fabrics.

Fabulous Fashions (Drab to FAB!) Ages 12 & up

PREREQUISITE: Sewing 101 AND Sewing 201. 

Turn old t-shirts and/or old pants into new fashions…learn how to change old, wornout and boring clothes into fabulous new pieces that are right in style! Bring at least

two old t-shirts (or pants) to class and learn how to cut, sew, add embellishments and

leave with a whole new look!! Wednesdays, 3-4:30 pm for the month.

September 12, 19 & 26; Cost $25 per student.

October 3, 10, 17, & 24; Cost $30 per student.

 November 7, 14, 21 & 28; Cost $30 per student.

Tumbling Ages 3 & upAll classes are MONTHLY.

if they wish to continue with classes.

Gimminy Crickets 

Parent/Tot class for ages 3-4. Parents will work with their children to help teachthem the fundamentals of tumbling while developing their coordination, strength,agility, balance and self-confidence. Parents are required to work with their chil-dren on the mats - please dress comfortably. There are no accommodations for sib-lings, so please make other arrangements for them.Enroll for a specific day and time each month.

Preschool program for ages 4-5. This class lays the groundwork for gymnastics progressions while introducing basic gymnastics skills on the floor and the balance beam. Parent waiting area is available.Enroll for a specific day and time each month.

Doodlebugs Parent/Tot Ages 2-3Doodlebugs is an art program designed for little artists that are just learning to draw,color, glue and paint. Little artists (and their parent) will work with many different

mediums and learn about colors, shapes and how to use their creative energies.Class times are either Tuesdays from 1-1:30 pm or from 1:45-2:15 pm.
