Bolt Testing The main considerations when choosing the proper Calibrator are 1) the size (diameter and length) of the bolts you will be testing and 2) the type of bolt head (standard/heavy hex or tension control). You will need to purchase a plate for each diameter of bolt you will be testing and a bushing for each diameter AND each type. Please reference our minimum bolt length chart to see if you will need short bolt plates and bushings. Model MZ - New Aluminum Heavy Duty - Lightweight Unit! This unit is replacing our Model MS...and it’s only 21 lbs! Designed to test bolts from 1/2" to 1-1/4" English bolts and equivalent metric sizes. This unit will test up to 126,000 lbs.
