SKA’s Associate Certificate Programs

SKA Academy of Art and Design is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS). SKA Academy, located in Duluth, Georgia, has more programs, courses, and specializations than any other art school in the United States for children. Our school mission is to provide children and young adults the opportunity to explore their own artistic talents, and to actively promote the value of art in the development of well rounded citizens.

SKA has recently added a new program to our school known as the Art and Design Associate Certificate Program (ACP). This program includes courses such as: Foundation, Interior Design, Architecture Design, Computer Graphic Design, Computer Animation Design, Fashion Design, and Visual Arts. Throughout each course, students are

required to take foundation classes and at least 20 classes to obtain enough credits. Eight of the top ten art and design colleges/universities have agreed to collaborate with us so students can further study in their majors. Students will spend approximately two years in our academy and another one and a half years to two years in other local u n i v e r s i t i e s / c o l l e g e s t h a t h a v e collaborated with us. After the students have completed our program, they will be t ransferred to the local col lege/universities along with their credits. The transfer of credits depends on the student's overall performance such as test scores and their portfolio. Another benefit to this program is that students will be able to obtain their Associate Certification and a

Bachelor Degree in about four years. Not only is this program time efficient, but

also the students will save lots of money when compared to other college' tuition fees.

With the addition of the new Art and Design Associate Certificate Program (ACP), SKA would l ike to invi te international students from your country to come and study abroad their passion of art and design in our academy.

International students are not required to take TOEFL. Instead, they have to take an English placement test. If students score below the standards, they will be required to take English as a second language. Also, SKA offers scholarships for international students.
