The products were designed by world renowned PWL Partnership Landscape Architects, Inc., in association with Pechet and Robb Art and Architecture. PWL Partnership is a leading global landscape design firm headquartered in Vancouver, BC. FairWeather collaborated with PWL Partnership on the manufacturing fabrication design to bring this collection of uniquely designed street furniture to downtown Vancouver’s Granville Street in time for the 2010 Olympics.

The Narrows Series NA-1H Narrows bench incorporates graceful curves with clean straight lines for a dynamic appearance.NA-1H has 1 x 7-1/4 horizontal seat boards. The Narrows NA-1V version features all seat and arm boards with a vertical plane.

The EC-1P shown above is fabricated with 2 x 6 recycled plastic. The EC-1 bench is also available in four popular wood species.

NA-1V Narrows

The Narrows is one of the great bridge spans of the Pacific Northwest. This bench was designed for the Harborside Memorial Park in Bremerton, Washington and complements the world-class Wet Design water features. The Narrows shown below has a Tigerwood seat and arms.

Trestle Series Benches The Trestle bench is available with various woods and recycled plastic in either a horizontal or vertical configuration.

Galleria Series Benches Whether in a mall setting, in a high rise lobby or complementing a piece of art, the Galleria is a striking addition to any surrounding. The GA-2H Galleria is shown with Tigerwood in a horizontal plane. The GA-1 backless Galleria is available with various woods in either horizontal or vertical configuration.

The Trestle Bench combines the old with the new. The shape is reminiscent of the old time railroad trestles but with an updated concept.

TR-26MTA and AU-26 The TR-26 Mini Trash-Ash answers the need for attractive litter control in areas where space is limited. The AU-26 ash urn completes the acces-sories for the Brio Collection.

The BI-3 has a back with arms, BI-2 has a back and the BI-1 is backless. Brio Collection Receptacles TR-26 Receptacles are available three styles: 35 gallon side load, side load with ash top or 40 gallon top load. Black polyethylene liners are included.

The sleek BRIO Collection exudes an energy of its own with its stylish European design. The Brio bench is perfect sitting alone or paired with our striking Brio receptacles, including the Ash Urn or Mini-Trash/Ash. These receptacles also complement many of our other bench designs.

Brio Collection Benches These contemporary laser cut Brio benches are comfortable, strong, durable and fabricated without a single weld. Airplane wings are the inspiration for the seat and back. The Brio benches have three different complementary seating designs to meet specific project needs.

The simple lines of these steel café table and chairs will complement any setting that calls for contemporary. The TE-II-C chair is available for use either inde-pendently or with the TE-II-CT café table. This collection also includes a matching TR-28 square, side opening steel trash receptacle (see page 19).

The Terrace II Collection also includes a matching trash receptacle that complements many of our steel strap benches. The table and various seats are part of the Terrace Collection of site furnishings. These components can be combined into groups to meet specific project requirements.

Plaza SeriesBeauty and Durability - Our Plaza Series offers a selection of steel strap benches to blend with various settings. All Plaza Series benches are fabricated with 1/4” x 1-1/2” steel straps.

The PL-3 Grouping has graceful end frames with arms fabricated with 1" solid steel bar. Benches are available with complete center frames or intermediate arms.

PL-3 and PL-1.3 benches are fabricated with vertical formed and bent steel straps with a pleasing rolled front.

PL-3H and PL-1.3H benches are fabricated with horizontal straps for a fresh look. Add “H” to the model number for horizontal straps.

Plaza SeriesThe ductile cast iron end frames with their circular detailing define the PL-4 and PL-5 grouping as the most classic in form of the Plaza series benches. The benches incorporate the strong, graceful steel strap seat sections common to all of the Plaza series.

PL-4 and PL-4H benches have ductile cast iron end frames with semi-circular detailing. The PL-4 seat is fabricated with formed straps in the vertical plane. The PL-4Hseat is fabricated with straps in the horizontal plane.

PL-5 and PL-1.5 benches have ductile cast iron end frames with complete circle details. Both are fabricated with formed straps in the vertical plane.

Pacifica SeriesThe graceful curves and clean lines of the Pacifica Series provide a pleasing accent for contemporary sites. The end frames for the PA-1 backless bench and the PA-2 bench with back are fabricated with 1/2” x 2” curved steel bar. The seat sections are fabricated with 1/4” x 1-1/2” steel straps.

TR-11The TR-11 trash receptacle comes stan-dard with a 35 gallon black polyethylene liner and a hinged side opening with a self latching door for easy access. A rain shield is also available. Optional 40 gal-lon steel powder coated liner available.

The TR-20.2 receptacle is a half circle that fits nicely against a wall and contains two quarter round liners which can be used for just recycling or for trash and recycling.

Cascade Series The CA-2 bench with back and the CA-1 backless bench have 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" wood elements on edge giving strength to the full contour bench and its backless counterpart. The recycled plastic options have 1-1/2” x3-1/2” elements on edge.

Olympic SeriesThe OL-1 is a classic design assembled with steel rods. All holes areplugged with wood carefully matched to the color and grain of the facing boards for the look of fine furniture.

The TD-3 is a classic Victorian bench, beautiful but sturdy in its construction. The flared arms are polished smooth. The wood elements are a full 1-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches.

The BR-1 bike racks, ranging from 3 to 13 bike capacity, are fabricated with 2" schedule 40 pipe. The BR-2 bike bollard capacity is 2 bikes, fabricated with 4" schedule 40 pipe and 1" schedule 40 pipe loops. Base covers are not available for surface mount on the BR-2 only.

The BR-3, fabricated with 2" sch. 40 pipe, and the BR-4, fabricated with 1-1/2" sch. 40 pipe, bike racks both have a two bike capacity. For all bike racks standard finishes are powder coat over corrosion resistant under coat or hot dip galvanizing. Mountings can be permanent embed or surface mount. Optional base covers are available.

Claims are subject to inspection by FairWeather Site Furnishings or its authorized representatives. Embed Surface Mount Embed Surface Mount

For over 35 years FairWeather site furnishings have been manufactured to meet the needs of ourcustomers worldwide. We provide beauty, craftsmanship, and durability with our site furnishings. Whether you order from our standard product line or you have a custom project, you know it will be manufactured with pride and attention to detail.

MetalAll steel support straps, pipe, etc., shall be wheel-abrated, drilled and formed for quick assembly. Most trash receptacle and planter top rims shall be spun steel. Dome tops shall be spun steel or galvanized steel, depending on the model. Cast end frames shall be ductile cast iron.

WoodWood Elements may be fabricated from any of the many available wood species. The woods most often specified for FairWeather furnish-ings are vertical grain Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Ipe, a hardwood that works well for both interior or exterior use. Also available Tigerwood a very durable exotic hardwood that is naturally resistant to rot and decay.

Recycled PlasticRecycled plastic offers an environmentally friendly alternative to wood. It is practically maintenance free and will sustain its color and appearance for years. Our recycled plastic is made from purified high density polyeth-ylene, such as milk containers, and includes UV inhibitors to reduce fading. It will not rot, warp, splinter or crack. Standard colors are cedar, gray, dark brown and weathered wood.

Mounting OptionsOur standard mountings for most furnishingsare permanent embed or surface mount. Variations such as subsurface mountings are available for most models.

Our trash receptacles come with holes for surface mounting. The pedestal mount is avail-able where an embed mount is needed or for surface mounting with the receptacle elevated.

Protective Coatings

MetalAll metal components, following fabrication, shall be cleaned and treated with an iron phos-phate process prior to the coating application. The protective color coating is either a polyes-ter or polyester TGIC powder finish applied by a dry electrostatic process. Following applica-tion, the metal parts are baked until properly cured. This durable coating will be a minimum of four mils thick on all surfaces.

PLEASE NOTE: Corrosion resistant undercoat is required for all exterior applications.

*All metallics are standard colors which require a clearcoat.

Bollard receivers, receiver covers and lockwellcovers are hot dip galvanized after fabrication.

WoodAll wood elements for exterior use are treated with a clear wood preservative unless otherwise specified. For interior use, wood elements shall be treated with Watco oil.
