What Does It Do? Call a list of phone numbers from the SIS database Deliver a pre-recorded message
No equipment to purchase No phone lines to deal with
More specifically: Call a list of Students who were absent today Call all Students, Faculty, and / or Staff from one
building or the entire district Call any custom selected group
SIS Call Notification
How Are These Calls Made? Offsite Call Center is capable of making 1,500 calls
in under 2 minutes (Caller ID will show the District phone number)
SIS will interface with this Call Center to provide all
the lists of numbers needed each day (duplicate phone numbers automatically eliminated)
You also interface with this Call Center via a website
to control calling options or start emergency calling You can also interface with the system via your
home telephone to record messages or activate emergency calling

Types of Messages to Deliver Absence or Late-to-School Notifications
“Get out the vote” for Tax or Bond issues (re-imbursed by a committee)
General Messages for: Policy announcement or changes, or Rumor abatement
School Closings for weather or other emergencies Call everyone in district or specific buildings

Call Parents of Absent Students Settings to determine if Tardy / Late to school, Full-Day
absence, or Any Period absence
Different messages can be assigned for each type above
The message can be set to automatically include the student’s name
Language flags by Student can be used to deliver messages for
them in Spanish, Bosnian, etc
Call lists are generated and sent to Call Center during the
normal Daily Summary (or Summary-Preview)

Call Students, Faculty, or Staff Daily Summary also automatically creates a full list
for Students, Faculty, and Staff These files are automatically uploaded each day
along with your attendance call-list (so the Call Center always has an updated list of
telephone numbers) In emergencies, you can activate a message via the
web or a phone to be sent to all Students and/or Staff

Call a Custom Selected Group Using the SIS Data-Grid, you can select any group of Students,
Faculty, or Staff
This call list is sent to the Call Center and then you can activate
a message to be sent to this group
Possible uses for: contacting just homes with registered voters, homes of Kindergartners, homes of Seniors, Students on specific buses, sports teams, etc

Purchase Options Can be purchased for entire district or just certain buildings
(by Fileset)
Annual subscription price based on buildings and call volume (not like our usual up-front purchase plus annual renewal)
Grant Money: Consider Safe-Schools, E-Rate, and Homeland Security grants as a possible source of funds
Very important to determine usage style and estimate correct number of calls to be made
Note: Extra calls purchased and not used will rollover to next school year

Estimated Calls Per Year
a) For Attendance Calling:
#Students x Percent Students Absent w/ A’s x #Calendar Days
Ex: 1,000 students with 6% average absent and 170 calling days = 10,200 calls
b) For Emergency or All-Student Calling:
#Students x Number-of-Messages
Ex: 1,000 students x est. 3 master calls per year = 3,000 calls

Pricing $ 400 per Building per School-Year (provides district bank
of 3,000 calls per building) So a district with 3 buildings would cost $1,200 and a total
of 9,000 calls
Note: each school will have its own calling access, messages, and settings
Additional call volume (when pre-purchased at start of
year) - 1,000 call minimum $130 per 1,000 calls or $300 per 3,000 calls Additional call volume (if purchased after initial yearly
startup) - 1,000 call minimum $160 per 1,000 calls or $400 per 3,000 calls
