resistance to major pests and diseases. Hybrid seeds have much market value then

conventional seeds.

Weakness- Lack of irrigation facilities. Lack of regular visiting of company staff. Farmers are not aware about Nunhems seeds. Nunhems have less margin then other brands.

KEY FINDINGS

There were 51 % small farmers and they are financially very weak, and there are no more number of available banks . 

Haridwr is the place where the irrigation facility is only 54% and where 46% farmers are depend on the rain.

There are 95 % farmers are using the advance variety of seeds from different types of seed company.

There are 68% farmers who producing only for the selling purpose, except them are for their consuming purpose.

Market potentiality is very high in Haridwar, which is the highest producer of cucumber in Uttarakhand, where the Pioneer is the main major player.

RECOMMENDATION

They can’t able to use their land in the time of summer, because insufficient water resources, for this reason production is decreased , so there should be some irrigation facilities through the water resources.

As per their total crop production in Ganjam area, there is no sufficient number of mills and processing unit. So, there people will more beneficial if there will be increase in the number of mills and the other processing unit.

   There should be more banks for helping the

farmers.

Conclusion

It can be a greater part of Uttarakhand which can be able the produce a high amount of cucumber,but the most of the farmers needs the financial support from the banks,and most of the farmers are having a large no of land capacity but due to the lack of water resources it not be able to do ,so there must be planned for the irrigation for those area for their better Cucumber production and also increased the number of banks.
