broVo SpiritsAmaro 05Mhairi Voelsgen, founderand CEO of BROVOsPlRlTS in Woodinville,Washington, is a pioneer

in the local amaro spiritcategory.

Branding her spiritsas "lady-made liquor,"Voelsgen has also made

waves by reaching out toWest Coast mixologistsand askingthem to help

create their interpretationsof amaro, the classic

Italian bitter and digestif.Recognized Seattle craft bartender Sara

Fisher put her spin on the Amaro 05 it has a rhubarb base

(like all brovo amari), and combines traditional notes ofgentian and juniper with a Northwest flair of wild nettles,

dried apples, rose hips and marioram with a warm spice

finish of cloves. The complex flavors ofthis spirit make it a perfect match

for a smooth bourbon in a newly imagined lYanhattan.
