This special event introduces the Spanish and Latin American culture and it includes children’s music, stories, games, an art activity, and a special snack. Connect with others, discuss experiences and feel supported. Dads Rock!! Being a father and parenting today can look very different from what dads today may have experienced with their own fathers. This father/child program includes a discussion time with fathers on these changes, their experiences and ways in which they can promote their child’s healthy development and early learning experiences. Dads will also spend time with their child/ren engaging in fun activities together. Early Math Skills Explore the world of math with fun games that include sorting, shapes, and number recognition, all supported through hands on activities that you can make yourself and take home! Hand Gym Want to develop those important fine motor skills? This class offers the opportunity to construct a box full of fine motor goodies for your little ones. Make them and take them home for good use! Early Reading Skills Talking, singing, playing and reading with your child all build early reading skills. Join us to learn how you can do more of these activities with your child and how these and other everyday interactions with your child provides preparation for reading. MULTIPLE- SESSION WORKSHOPS

About our workshops:The Puzzle of Parenting workshop series is designed for parents, grandparents and guardians of children from birth to kindergarten age. Families are welcome to attend workshops in any community. Most workshops are offered at multiple locations so families can choose the most convenient site and date. Come to as many workshops as you wish—and plan to bring a friend!

Workshops are funded by a Coordinated Family and Community Engagement grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, administered by Collaborative for Educational Services.

Registration and Childcare: There is no charge for our workshops and free childcare is available with pre-registration.

To Register: Online registration is available at collaborative.org/early-childhood/parents, or you may call 413.570.3061 or email [email protected]. We will need your contact info (including your phone and email address, if available) and the title, date, and site (and any childcare needs) for each workshop registration. Your advance reservations play an important part in helping us to plan; should you find you are unable to attend, please let us know.
