History of Singapore- Singapore was a British

   control of Sumatran Srivijaya

Empire, later the Dutch and then

Thus the island became a British colony.

Geography and Climate

Singapore is an island that is urbanised. It is a city-state. Singapore is separated from Indonesia by the Singapore Strait and from Malaysia by the Straits of Johor. [7] The climate is moderate and tropical. Singapore is located near the equator.
