Since 2006, he has specialized in Singapore Math instructional strategies. His teaching methods and program development have been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Monterey Herald. Over the past six years, he has worked on Singapore Math implementation at over 35 schools around the country. In 2009, he was honored with the Appreciating Charter Educators (ACE) award, which recognizes teachers who improve student achievement, use innovative and creative instructional strategies, and make a difference in the lives of students. During the Summer of 2010, he led a continuing education course - Mathematics and Visualization across the Disciplines: Applying the Singapore Method – for teachers at Neumann College in Aston, Pennsylvania. He has published 13 Sprints fluency books for grades K-6 and served as a writer for the Common Core aligned A Story of Units curriculum. Learn 8 Shared Strategies of Successful Singapore Math programs. Participate in a demonstration lesson. Study textbooks to understand the grade level’s longitudinal coherence.
