i Light Marina Bay will once again be conducting theSwitch Off, Turn Up Campaign, where stakeholdersin and around Marina Bay are invited to switch offnon-essential lighting whenever possible and turnup air conditioning temperatures during the festivalperiod. The energy efficiency campaign is designedto offset the energy used by the light art installationsand associated power use in Asias only sustainablelight art festival which runs from 7 to 30 March.

Past editions of the Switch Off, Turn Up Campaignhave garnered much success. For i Light Marina Bay2012, 47 properties participated in this campaign and

more than 210,000 kWh of energy was saved. Thismeans that the energy saved was enough to provideelectricity for 800 4-room HDB flats for the sameperiod.

This year, more buildings have committed to put inplace measures to save energy during the festivalperiod. Key developments involved include MarinaBay Sands, Marina Bay Financial Centres, and OneFullerton. Their participation signifies their commitmentto play a part in working towards a more sustainablefuture together.
