Danielle Richards Since graduating as a teacher in 2004, my life’s passion has been in education and this is evident in my career path; class teacher to Head of department (pre-K – G3) in just four years. During my time as Head of department, I completed a two-year leadership and management course which prepared me for a Vice principal and/or principal role within an Elementary school, giving me experience of budget management, school development plans and also staff management. I worked closely with universities to support teacher training programs. Trainee teachers would complete a practical, twelve-week course at the school, under my guidance and leadership to support their teaching degree. In this time, I would observe their planning, teaching and assessment, give constructive feedback to the student and also the university mentor. In July 2010 I decided to move to the United States to take on a new challenge with Challenger Sports, the largest soccer company in Northern America. My role as a Regional Director involved working with various organizations such as Park and Recreation Departments, YMCA’s and soccer clubs looking at their programs; analyzing their current soccer curriculum model and offering assistance and ways to improve their programs, thus developing each child and offering them the best experience possible. After working in this area for two years I felt ready and very passionate about moving back in to the field of teaching and felt that teaching is ultimately where my passion lies. In March 2013 I began teaching at the British International School of Boston to support staff with the implementation of a play-based curriculum that I was part of developing in the UK. Within this time, I arranged parent workshops to inform the parents of each individual learning criteria for the specific grade and to informed them of the assessment criteria and next steps for their children. I have led information evenings for parents and worked very closely with the admissions director to attend open evenings and be part of a staff panel. I was part of a team that worked closely to implement a new assessment tool; assessing without levels for the Toddler to Grade 6 classes to support the individualized teaching curriculum that is skills based. I have worked collaboratively with our schools around the globe to share good practice. During the last year of my employment, I worked alongside the leader of data collection and management to re-evaluate and restructure the assessment criteria to fit the new British, skills-based curriculum. In 2017, I accepted the role of Title I teacher in the Merrimack School District. While working here, I was able to enroll in Western Governors University and complete my Master in Curriculum and Instruction in just five months. During this time, I was approached by a third-party company that provides services across the country with Medicaid to school programs. I began working at CompuClaim in January 2020, supporting and collaborating with special education programs in many states to ensure, not only, a successful Medicaid program but also special education program. In the more recent weeks, I have worked with other companies that support districts with the increased mental and behavioral health needs. I am now a United States citizen, residing in Londonderry with my young family, using my knowledge and expertise as part of the task force to successfully re open Londonderry schools. Letter of Interest: Greg DePasse for interim board vacancy

8/20/2021

To whom it may concern

I’m writing to express my interest in filling the interim Londonderry School District boardvacant position. I would like to thank you all for volunteering your time and energy. Boardpositions are not to be taken lightly and volunteering for this one has taken a lot of seriousthought and consideration. I applaud all of you for doing a great job navigating the extraordinarychallenges that have faced the district over the past 18 months.

I’ve lived in town since 2003. My wife, Debbie, and I have three kids in the districtschools (grades 6, 8, and 11). I’ve been active in the schools and have volunteered throughoutthe years. I even went through the Leadership Londonderry course years ago. I have a lot ofboard experience in a range of roles. I’ve been on the North Elementary School PTA board (4years), a yacht club association board (5 years), and a school board for a small Montessoricharter school in Manchester (6 years). I have even campaigned for a Londonderry schoolboard position in the past. Although I didn’t win, I have fully supported those of you who did. Iwas brought onto our yacht club's board due to a sudden vacancy, and went on to win multipleterms. Members have praised my transparency, willingness to listen, and communication; andhave been the president of the club. I would like to work with you all in this interim position andbring my experiences to help then see what the voters decide in the Spring.

There are many challenges facing the district right. These challenges require diplomacy, investigation, communication, willingness to change based on new data, and--mostimportantly--for representatives to act in the best interest of the residents of our district, especially our children. These are all qualities I believe I have and look forward to bringing themto the board. And I fully believe that, in addition to respectful, open conversation, it is importantto bring a bit of levity to these meetings (when appropriate, of course), and that tends to keepthings grounded and help people realize we are all, ultimately, on the same side and have thesame goal - educating our future generations in a safe and effective manner, while being fiscallyresponsible to Londonderry taxpayers.

Sincerely,

Greg DePasse

Greetings!

My name is Jennifer Arredondo, and I would like to be considered for the seat on the schoolboard left open from the departure of Jenn Ganem. I feel I would be a valuable member of the boardand bring new insight into what needs to be done to make our school district an example tosurrounding New Hampshire communities.

First, I would like to introduce myself. I am originally from Massachusetts, but left in1992 and moved to El Paso TX. Soon after I met my husband and married in 1996. Two yearslater I joined the U.S. Air Force, and left after 12 years of serving our nation to raise ourchildren. Since then my family and I have decided to make Londonderry, NH our home wherewe strive to be members of the community.

During my time in the Air Force I have always taken the approach of give and take whenworking through issues that would arise. While I was expected to follow orders of those aboveme, there was room for debate and discussion in various areas. In addition I was given theresponsibility of leading younger service members and working with them so they could meettheir potential and be successful while serving our nation.

As far as being a parent and a citizen of Londonderry, I am a firm believer in workingtogether as a community to provide the best opportunities for our children. While there is muchdebate as to how to reach that goal, we should always keep those lines of communication openbetween the parents of children in school, the community with no children in school, and theschool board. By having this commitment to communication all views can be heard, and throughrigorous debate, better decisions can be made for the betterment of our future generations.

For me a school board is present in a community to oversee the running of the schools. Itneeds to ensure that what needs to be taught is being taught. It needs to ensure all opportunitiesare available to all children. It needs to not shy away from unpopular beliefs due to perceivednotions from political winds far outside our local community. Within these parameters, a schoolboard should base their decisions on the will of the people from the local population; from thepeople that support the schools through their tax dollars. I believe a school board shouldapproach each and every decision from the point of view of that the board is not only entrustedwith the financial responsibility of the schools, but also the responsibility of providing anadvantageous opportunity for each and every child in school.

I look forward to speaking with you further about the open position on the school board.

Sincerely,Jennifer V. Arredondo

Professional QualificationsI am a concerned citizen willing to step forward and take on a small aspect of my civic duty.Through my training in public affairs I would be able to listen to all sides of an issue objectivelyand work with others to come to common sense decisions. In addition, as a parent, I understandthe importance of a quality education and would look at decisions needing to be made based onthe idea my child would be one of many having to attend school within the confines of thosedecisions. Finally, as an admission counselor at, I must always actively listen, and learn what astudent is trying to tell me, and then provide the best possible advice I am able to give.

Dear Board Members:

During my me in the educaon field, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders to create and maintain posive educaonal environments for students and families across three different school districts. I aspire to bring this combined knowledge to your team and support the families of Londonderry. I feel I am uniquely suited for this role due to both my knowledge base of current trends in educaon as well as my praccal experience in implementaon as part of a district level team.

Working as a building leader in educaon involves honing a variety of skills which specifically benefit a member of Londonderry’s School Board. Over the last 20 years, I have connually grown in this capacity and have had the opportunity to constantly support a variety of concurrent projects while maintaining focus on children and families. Some specific areas of focus during this me include the management of all aspects of school operaons including curriculum design and implementaon, direct work with educators and facilies management. While focusing on this important work, I have consistently maintained posive relaonships with families and all levels of administraon. I have also had the opportunity to serve on district level commiees ranging from facilies/ building to curriculum and improvement and have worked hand in hand to watch curriculum come alive in the hands of teachers.

Having implemented and observed the necessary components of this work first hand, I am in the unique posion to support the students and families of Londonderry in perpetuang their mission to maintain excellence in teaching and learning. Furthermore, I strive to engage this work as a parent of twin six year old boys who will be entering the first grade at the Mahew Thornton School this fall.

I look forward to discussing how my experience can benefit the learners of the Town of Londonderry and connual refinement of all aspects of teaching and learning.

Be well.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to express my interest in the open school board position in the Londonderry School District.

My decision to “throw my hat in the ring” is not an easy one. The past few months have been polarizing in our community, with neighbor against neighbor as we discuss policy, procedure, and practice in our schools. School board meetings became heated. Feelings were hurt. And, the same polarizing issues will continue into the fall and winter ahead. There is much still to do, and it won’t be easy. This is a time not just to focus on tasks, but to repair and build trust between parties during a difficult time.

While I am confident that I can meet the expectations of a member of the Londonderry School Board, more importantly is the way in which I can get the work done. For more than 20 years I have been a Child Care Center Director, working with hundreds of children, families, and staff that have each had varying wants and needs. In spite of differences, I have successfully held all of them to the same expectations, the same policies, the same procedures. Even in the most trying times, I can deliver difficult messages in a way that others can accept, even if they don’t understand or support it. These times need a united message that can be delivered in that way.

Attn: Kerri Stanley

Dear Ms. Stanley:

Please find this letter and attached resume as consideration for the available position with the

Londonderry School Board.

As a member of the Londonderry community, I served on the Londonderry School Board for 3 terms,

2011-2020 or, 9 years. During those 9 years I served as Chair for 3 years, Vice Chair, served on the

Faculty Negotiations Committees in 2016 and again in 2019. I also served on the Support Staff

Negotiations Committee in 2016. I have also been involved in the hiring process for multiple faculty

administrative positions throughout the District and served on multiple liaison committees to the Board.

As our school year begins so does the budget process for the following school year. The budget process

is detailed and requires scrutiny in all areas of the budget. It also requires an understanding of how the

budget is established and an understanding of NH RSA laws which govern the budget process. I am well

versed in this process and could easily assist the Board in making budget decisions.

Having watched many Board meetings over the course of the last year, it is imperative that the

individual who is appointed have Board experience, strong leadership and communications skills and a

passion for students and quality education. Londonderry has always had strong public schools and it is

my goal to work as hard as I can for quality education for all students.

The Board has work to do, budget prep, curriculum development, contract negotiations for starters.

My extensive previous experience with the Londonderry School Board will allow me to step right in, roll

up my sleeves and get to work.

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you and serving the community of

lo ndonderry.

Respectfully submitted,

Good afternoon Ms. Stanley,

My name is Sarah Casavant and I have been a resident of Londonderry, New Hampshire for the past tenyears. I am writing a letter of interest in the openSchool Board position that will be filled until March 2022. I have two young children in the Londonderryschool system, one who will be starting in the thirdgrade this fall and one who will be in kindergarten. My family and I had built a home in another town afew years ago, but we ultimately decided to remain inLondonderry, as we had such a positive experience with the school system with my oldest when sheattended Moose Hill. My first job out of college was herein Londonderry, and I have worked at the Londonderry YMCA teaching children's yoga. My family iscommitted to living in a town where our children can bestgrow and learn in a thriving, home-grown community.

I am interested in the open School Board position because I want the best possible education andenvironment for my children and their peers. I'm invested inand passionate about educating our community's youth and helping them successfully navigate theirschool years into adulthood. I believe that if we as acommunity create a strong educational system framework, our children will thrive not just academically, but in their emotional and mental development as well. I'mpassionate about building a solid foundation so Londonderry's youngest residents can successfully carryon this tradition as adults in their own communities, and preserve thesuccess of our wonderful town. I believe the Londonderry school system provides not only a strongacademic environment, but one that also nurtures our children'sphysical, emotional, and developmental milestones, and I am looking forward to the opportunity to providea voice for these objectives.

Attached, please find my resume. I look forward to speaking with you further regarding the openLondonderry School Board position, and thank you for your considerationof my application.

Dear Kerri,

I am writing in order to be considered for the recently vacated seat on the Londonderry SchoolBoard. I have extensive experience with the Londonderry School District, having attended theLondonderry schools for my K-12 education along side all of my four siblings and I now havethree children and multiple nieces and nephews attending school in town as well. In addition tothis inherent vested interest in the operation of the district, I most recently was an activemember of the 2021-2022 School District Reopening Task Force.

My occupation requires the ability to perform my duties in an ever-changing regulatoryenvironment and to constantly continue my education in the financial field in order to staycurrent on all updated information as it surfaces. I believe that it is this skill set, especially giventhe turbulent circumstances encompassing the current school board responsibilities, that will beof great service as we move forward. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Tim Porter

RE: School Board opening

To Whom it may concern:

I wanted to express my interest in applying for the current open position on the LondonderrySchool Board. I am a resident of Londonderry and have been living here with my husband andfour children for over twenty years. I currently have a child at the high school, a child at themiddle school, and a child at the elementary school.

I am an educator and have spent over 25 years, at a neighboring school system, teachingSpanish at the high school level. I have many experiences I could share with you but of coursenone could compare to being an educator during the time of such a worldwide crisis. I had torelearn how to be a teacher and use many resources to be a successful teacher. Through it all,I feel my students were successful. Along with changing my teaching practices, I also had tomanage a household of learners, as we all did. Providing instruction when their teachers werenot available to help or depending on my older children to help my young daughter were just twostruggles I found myself faced with. We struggled, we thrived, and we succeeded.

I have my BA in Spanish and I have an MEd in Special education. I feel I can offer insight andhelp make decisions that are in the best interest of our students.

Thank you for your consideration.
